Very much so. I wrote this before she was diagnosed with autism. Somehow the lyrics seem even more prescient to me now.

Excellent writing and playing- I agree the vox could come forward a bit. This is complex and still very tight. Great job and excellent guitar sound.

Duke's Return (w/Vocals) by JD 6 years ago
Just terrific. Baboon really nails the vocals and that is one ripping guitar. Jd, as usual, perfectly thought out production, tight as a drum. Great work to all!

One of my favorite songs by one of my all time favorite artists- I think I might have been horrified had this been attempted by lesser talents, but this is a wonderful version. Hearing it played on guitar is interesting and as always, love Dylan's vocals. Great job to both!

Smokin! I just love you're playing. I (personally) would bump the mids on the vocal EQ and bring the bass up. When the guitar is that good, I don't mind it being up front! Great cover.

Hilarious and cool vibe. The song has a very Alan parson project vibe, the lyrics are somewhere between Zappa and weird Al. Way Cool, nice job.

Well, well!

This is my first exposure to the new Play Hooky Lineup and I have to say, IMPRESSIVE. You've always had great guitars, but Randy's drumming smokes! The funny thing for us is we can rememeber the 17 different incarnations of this song over the years, the Tune That Would Not Die. Really nice production, and i see you fixed the drum mix problem, they sound great! The effects during the chorus seem kind of weird to me, but that's most likely because I remember the old version. Great stuff, keep em coming!

Oh, and I expect royalties.

Or any extra groupies you guys aren't using.

Sweet!

Speaking on behalf of the Man, I'm getting a little tired of people sticking it to me. So Thanks a lot!

This is one of the most wonderfully bizzare songs I have ever heard anywhere. "Psychotic circus Music" has my vote for new Genre on icomp. This is somewhere between Danny Elfman and Charlie Daniels, with a totally unique vocal treatment. Great singing, as always. The vibrato on the solo violin sounds a little odd, but You get 10 extra stars for creativity.

Keep pushing the envelope, man!

And I apologize for keeping all of you people down for so long. It's all part of the job description when you're the Man.

Nope, very much agree... Brian's one of those singers who had to be drug into it kicking and screaming, and he's only recently become comfortable with the role. And my gear back then really sucked. (Can you say "sucked" on I comp? Oops, I just did it again) Might redo this at some point, but so much new stuff to work on!

Thanks, Julian!

Liar's Moon - REMIX by chuckesleeze 7 years ago
These are all software instruments, OA- Mostly from IK Mulitmedia's Sampletank plug-in, (kinda expensive but really nice instruments) played on a cheap midi controller. Drum parts are worked out on my acoustic kit and then replayed with a Roland SPD 20 pad controller. Although the bass on this track is actually the upright jazz bass from one of the Apple jampaks run through Amplitube.
