| Excuse my French, but this is ****ing brilliant! It's fair to say that the vocal part is the best I have heard on iComp so far... by a good margin... What can be improved? I think there is more potential in the mix by using Logic rather than GB as you have better plugins for the reverb and delay... other than that it is probably the best you can do with GB... Brilliant stuff! |

That's a great piece of music... But... I think the sound quality for homerecording standards is very good(of course) but this voice deserves something much better... I don't know what sort of equipment you use or what settings you used to mix this one. Don't get me wrong but the voice can be compared to Lizz Wright's and I would just love to hear Alannah with that sound... But maybe it is me who is just spoiled rotten when it comes down to sound quality... from my point of view you need to record this phantastic vocal piece with the equipment it deserves... Listen to Lizz Wright, Cassandra Wilson or Sara K.... you will find out what I mean... Greets Chris |

| I had a look at the black beauty, too... but I just fell in love with that cream coloured one... It comes very, very close to the Gibson sound. Great collab no doubt. I like this nice tune. The dislikes are related to the mix: There is some obvoius noise when John's singing kicks in. Also I would use a stereo spreader for the guitar so you it will give you more space in the middle for the main vocals... |
