Chris Owenby is currently a senior at LaGrange College, studying composition, classical piano, and jazz piano. His work has been performed by members of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, the LaGrange Symphony Orchestra, the Goliard ensemble, the LaGrange College Singers, and the Sons of Lafayette. Chris has worked closely with composer Lee Johnson on projects such as his Seventh Symphony, 'Infinitude', and his 'Four Concerts' for mezzo-soprano and piano trio. He has served as the Minister of Music at White United Methodist Church in White, Georgia and New Covenant Christian Worship Center in Acworth, Georgia. He currently holds a position as pianist with the LaGrange Symphony Orchestra. He is also currently interning with the distinguished Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus under the supervision of Dr. Jeffrey Baxter. Upon completion of his bachelor's degree at LaGrange College, Chris will further pursue his music education in graduate school.
