respect Yohmar, go for your life on the tinker tip. ASHWAN was missing on this one so its all my own work; beats and vocals.

Arn, stop ya giggling that ain't me doing the freeze, just a pic i had on my hard drive, I think he's French. As for the singing, thanks for the support. I ain't no Jaheim but I use what I got how I can.

DISSTING by curious 2 years ago
I may try that on the next one but I don't want to revisit this tune really. I like to think of each tune as a record of experience and each one can inform and hopefully improve the next. however spending too long dwelling on one experience in order to acheive a sense of perfection takes away time from creating the next. Its a bit like going on holiday to the same place every year. The world (of music) is a big place and I wanna travel! thanks Arn and if you fancy doing a remix, it's yours...peaCe

niiice! got a real Portishead sound to it. Laid back, improvised and moody as a british summer. Could develop more and become more dramatic as it goes on. A big dirty horn section and a second set of filthy big drums, sampled strings, that kind of thing?! sounds good though, real good.

DISSTING by curious 2 years ago
Thanks Arn, glad you like the temporary change of style on this one. I kinda like that the tune makes you wait for that snare because after that it is pretty relentless and I wanted it to come as a surprise when you are already accustomed to the beat before it but thanks for the input bro. peaCe

Stomp by liquid 2 years ago
easy liquid this is a nice 'sample' really cool long intro before the beat drops. not really feeling the drums on this one, reckon they could be a bit liver and a heavier snare but definitely a nice tune in the making, maybe i'll stick a couple of verses and a chorus and let you hear it (if thats ok of course?)

yeah this is interesting. some nice elements that kinda need a vocalist to hold them together, sounds a bit choppy as an instrumental but definitely got a nice kinda mid 90's r&b feel, where's SWV when you need em?

ANNOUNCE THE SOUND by curious 2 years ago
thanks octo, i know ASHWAN tried some different processing techniques on some of this so maybe thats why the bass seems a bit heavy but i don't hear it when i pump it on my system. still thanks for the feedback and the props, i'm just happy y'all are checking my sounds. real respect...

respect bro. its not so crazy though. London is standing strong despite the media fear-mongering trying to get people twisted.
my thoughts go out to the innocent brasilian guy that got shot eight times by the police because they thought he was a terrorist. that is messed up in a whole other way and yet Tony Blair defended it to the press. thats what is crazy. peaCe

sometimes things are so obvious we don't feel the need to say them but conversation and collaboration often leads to new ideas and ways of approaching life that could not be conceived in isolation. sometimes you have to speak in order to think. thanks for your response yohmar. all comments are always welcome. i don't know why more people don't respond when they've taken the time to listen.

ASHWAN coming hotter than Dubai in July on this, peaCe

(PM99, you seem extremely puritanical about this issue of language in threads. Perhaps if the reasons behind this stance were explained to artists they would adhere to the ruling with greater rigour. Is it your belief that this explicit content hinders the proliferation of the site? or is it merely a case of your personal moral code being forced on the masses? I trust it is the former but perhaps what you are experiencing in these threads is the subconcious subversion of a perceived infringement of artists freedom of expression. I feel clarification in this matter would benefit all concerned with the continuing advancement of this community. Finally, it is my belief that the words artists choose to describe their tracks has a profound effect on how that track is received. as such, i feel that the use of considered profanity by an artist in the description of their composition is an integral and valid part of the creative process and as such should be judged by different criteria to that used in relation to the language content of comments in review threads. I hereby open the debate.

LET ME DEMONSTRATE by curious 3 years ago
Once again, you can't get a thing past the ghostman. TRUE, this not what most UK hiphop is on. This is MY sound not some derivitive, fassy, nonsense. If you want that, check ghost's tune. Non-UK people please note that not all brits are as negative and back-biting as ghost-features is. I can only assume he is inadequately endowed. What you working with there short stuff?
By the way, did you mean 'fallacy'? I'll tell him you are a fan next time I see him.

Thanks for breaking your silence Mike. Glad you liked the overalls; fashion is so important these days! And as for the chorus, I wasn't very fond of her when we first met, but the longer i've known her the fonder i've become of her. Please just give her a chance, she was brought up in tragic circumstances and means well. Thanks for taking the time to comment though, the other 25 listeners didn't. peaCe
