My entry in music was heavy. I first began playing guitar at 19 when I was a patient in the Adult Mental Health unit of Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, Minnesota. Why would someone share this? Why not, it's where I started. We sometimes fall but we overcome. That's what much of my music is for me.

I'm now 40. About two years ago I began playing my songs for patients on the same Adult Mental Health unit where I was a patient and began playing guitar. Each Friday I meet people in a similar situation that I was in and share something of my own life. I’m reminded weekly of the power of words and music fueled by the human spirit.

What's happened in the years in between is more than I can say here. It's in my music though. And my life is light much because of music. Loving music always loves back. ~ Namaste
