Biography
We have always been here.
i wish i was a musIckaL gEnIUs like my favorite artists here. Or maybe i am, and i just haven't applied myself. Whatever the case, i've been tinkering with musical instruments, including serious study of piano and trombone -- good at one, and not at the other, you guess which -- for as long as i can remember.
i've always been a fan of electronica. Early on there was Gary Numan and Eurythmics. These are where i discovered my love for a big phat bassline. Later on i discovered Kraftwerk and The Gap Band, the former of which is still among my five favorite bands of all time. i'm also influenced by World Wide Message Tribe (i think Handel would have loved "Return of the Queen of Sheba"), Scott Blackwell, P-funk, Prince, and (call me Tragically UN-hip) Jump 5. And many, many more. Just don't ask me my favorite C&W artist and we're cool, mmmkay?
A lot has changed for me in the time i've been on iCompositions. my job, my thoughts, my music. my creativity. The one constant is that i'm still a huge sucker for a great bass line. Shoot me a line if you think you've got one. i'd love to hear from you.
