![]() Is this a musical depiction of Mr. Roger's Trolley getting derailed in the land of Make Believe? If so, I LOVE it! |

![]() Live long, and prosper! You really do well at imitating Goldsmith's style and I can easily see this soundtrack fitting in nicely behind any TNG episode. It would be great if you could team up with some trekker and make a fan-video so your music could find a suitable accompaniment. If you aren't making a serious living and getting phat-rich doing this stuff soon, I'm going to hunt you down and beat you. Keep it up! |

![]() You incorporate a wide variety of themes and blend them together quite well. The MIDI voices made me feel like I was playing a really awesome role playing adventure game on my Super Nintendo! It made me feel young again. I like your work a lot! Keep on writing! |

![]() Absolutely beautiful work! This sounds very much like a live performance. Organic is a term that's been used in a number of previous reactions to this track, and I have to agree. Your ability to get a computer to make music this organic-sounding is miraculous! Thank you so much. |

![]() The juxtaposition of aleatory and rationalism work well here. Nice palette of sounds and colors here. Your themes develop and flow quite naturally and was never dull to listen to from beginning to end. BRAVO!!! |

![]() If Gregorian Chanters listened to The Cure, they might come up with something like you've written. Great first attempt at a serious piano piece! Reminds me a lot of the work from the group, Gastr del Sol. Thanks! |

![]() Your skills as an orchestrator are amazing! You treat the orchestra like a single instrument and the results are consistently outstanding! You really should try and get your compositions written down, published, and performed! I guarantee that your work would be a tremendous hit with any group that plays it and to every audience that hears it. They are THAT GOOD!!! WOW!!! Just on a casual listen, I can tell that the majority of your voicings would be quite idiomatic (playable) on the actual instruments you intended. Also, the parts are interesting for each section which many composers are guilty of not doing well. Your themes are easily recognizable and develop extremely well. This particular piece would be absolutely perfect for a good high school or college level symphony orchestra. Very marketable!!! Keep up the excellent work! I am envious of your abilities. |

![]() This sort of reminds me of the best parts of the Halo 2 soundtrack. I can totally see Master Chief taking out a bunch of Elites with a plasma sword here. This work is very atmospheric, and employs excellent pacing which effectively builds tension little by little. Perhaps a smattering of some upper woodwind flourishes and brassy fanfares shouting in over the nice rhythmic pulse you've got going on would really make the war part more chaotic and exciting? For reference, listen to Karel Husa's "Apotheosis of this Earth, 2nd movement" if you ever get a chance! Excellent job! |

| Thanks, Moepifry. Many of my piano works are inspired by the Lyrical Piano works of Edvard Grieg, especially in their form. This is a prime example of how Grieg has influenced me. I'm glad you enjoyed it! | |

| A Snowflake (For Solo Piano) by djohn409 | 4 years ago |
| ssstebbe, I am glad you liked it! This is probably one of my favorite pieces I've ever wrote, and I don't even know why. Maybe because of its lack of profundity? Sometimes I take my work too darn seriously and this piece is a way to relax a bit. I dunno. Thanks for the kind feedback! I really admire your piano playing, ssstebbe! | |
| Under A Minute Waltz (For Solo Piano) by djohn409 | 4 years ago |
| Thank you Indiana82. I am so pleased you enjoyed it. I'm not sure why it takes so long to get feedback on icompositions sometimes. I think it's because there's so much awesome music to listen to, that there's seldom time to make the effort. I've listened to thousands of songs on here and neglected to leave feedback. I'm glad you did! | |

![]() Terrific voicings! This would be highly playable by a real orchestra if you could get a score and parts printed out! You have a great gift for developing your themes and transitioning from one theme to the next. This would indeed be perfect for a movie or big-budget video game. I'm quite envious. *****!!! |

![]() This composition would be absolutely perfect for a drum and bugle corp-style show! I think you should seriously think about arranging this for marching band! Compositionally, I really wished this piece would have included a couple more themes, or developed the themes already introduced. Very interesting piece. Excellent use of sonic gestures to communicate to the audience. BRAVO! |
