Biography
Coming straight out'a Compton, crazy mother f*cker named. . . no wait, that's not me.
Ladies and gentlemen, say "hello" to the Good Doctor Polymer Noyz. Like always, I'll buy you a Lone Star if you bum me a smoke.
I once read a quote (on the internet, so you know it's true) from Jimmy Page or one of those other British rockers of that era:
"Rock n' roll is all about f*cking."
Yes. Yes, it is.
It's all about wanting to f*ck, getting to f*ck, getting f*cked up, and just plain getting f*cked because things didn't work out with her quite the way you hoped or planned.
And that's what these songs are all about.
As is true of both great rock music and great f*cking, passion beats precision any day of the week.
It don't take no musical genius to realize my music is not exactly tight and precise. But I do have an almost innate desire to make it.
That is what I hope to share, a passion for the music that vastly transcends my technical skills.
I grew up listening to the dying gasps of Top 40 AM music radio in the late 60's and 1970's. All the rock and pop songs were about finding love. All the country songs were about losing it.
It obviously left an impression. I'm either blessed or cursed (depending upon your point of view) with an irrepressible love for the classic three chord three minute song.
I'm not a great musician. My production skills will never be mistaken for George Martin's. I can hardly sing for sh*t.
But hopefully I've written a few decent songs that you can quietly bop along to in your cubicle or maybe even crank up at home and enjoy a few good minutes of just plain rocking out.
If you don't like the songs. . . well, sorry. It's a big world, have a nice day, move on.
If you do like the songs. . . great! Tell your friends. Tell your family. Tell me. Tell the fine people at Sony, Virgin, and all the other big record labels!
While I'm not actively seeking it, if a cheesy sleazy record company guy were to show up on my doorstep with a big check and a limo full of groupies and drugs, I'd still take advantage of at least two of the three.
Just don't tell The Wife which two. . .
