thanks to my high school prom date night then my one time collegiate bacardi girl for the intro and the first verse. . . thanks to the The Wife for the second and third, with a dash of a few others thrown in for seasoning.

Very entertaining, for me it has a kinda Zappa feel, which is of course, a good thing.

Liked the song. Sounded like it might be happy. How 'bout an English lyric translation?

Neon Red Piano (2006) by jtkattner 4 years ago

Ah, my friend, you are sadly correct. The neon red piano is gone, along with the rotating neon bug that once lived a few blocks north.

Things have changed, not necessarily for the better.

But the Horseshoe still stands. I send a virtual ice cold Lone Star out to you.

Dude, you are my hero.

This was like my first favorite song ever. I used to play it on an old 45 on a portable record player in my grandparent's basement when I was a kid.

My only complaint, you didn't finish it, it just kinda fades away. And I know it's punk and all, but I basically couldn't understand a word you said.

I love the "wall of sound"! Not just guitar you hear, but guitar you feel! Thanks to you both for your positive feedback!
Supermarket Checkout Queen by Baboon 4 years ago

Ah, that takes me back. . .

I worked my way through high school and college by working at a grocery store.

If I only had a nickel for every supermarket checkout queen. . .

Beautiful man, beautiful.

Wow.

I like it. I close my eyes and I see it used in an ad for a tech company, like one of those ads you see on Sunday morning TV news talk shows for business applications that I don't care enough about to understand.

That or an ad for some medical product for middle-aged white guys.

Nice beat.

The kick drum sounds a little clipped on my 'phones and there's a sound like a stacatto version of dialing a touch tone phone, or something. It's cool, man, I could totally spark a blunt and chill to this.

Hold on, gonna do that now, crank it to 11 and try it again. . .

Yeah. . . just plain yeah. . .

Had me strutting around the living room like Heidi Klum on a runway. Oops, forgot to close the blinds, just had an awkward conversation with the neighbors about recreating the Victoria's Secret Lingerie show. -lol, noyz
