Biography

Born in North Carolina to Nigerian parents, Nnimnoabasi "Exxodus" Essien has always been creatively blessed. She began writing contemporary Christian music at the age of eleven, but God slowly evolved it into hip-hop after her sister, Ekom Essien, bought her first Christian hip hop CD for her fourteenth birthday. It just so happened that the album was Higher Definition by CMR Records, and Exxodus began a new chapter in her life, writing and creating hip-hop music for the Lord. Since then she has worked with Light Riderz Music, releasing her debut album "The Real Me." She hopes to take Christ's message of love and truth to the next level and reach the hearts and minds of the masses.
