famous painters first materialized late in the 20th century when brothers johnny and paulie picasso (twin brothers of little sister) ran into georgie van gogh and ritchie rembrandt at a pot party somewhere on Fairfield Dr. A collective love of music and all things rock-n-roll kept the four coming back for more, and shortly thereafter, famous painters was born. Through the years, other musicians including the picasso brothers' cousins, matty A. and capt. cam velocity, and the late c. pudsey (crispy), have augmented the band's lineup. Citing musical influences ranging from The Beatles to the Buzzcocks, the dBs to Johnny Cash, and the Ramones to 999, the painters have forged their own musical style
over the course of recording eight albums worth of material since 2005, when the band relocated to P'cola from New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane
Katrina. The group is currently in the studio writing material for their next project.
