Thanks for the comments! I need to get back in the groove and make more tunes...

Haha... you have a point there... Possibly Weird Al? He'll sing anything I bet.

Haha! Woo-hoo! A pizza! Thanks for the comments all!
Live at Hammersmith by CygnusX1 8 years ago
I agree with the others, for a bunch of loops put together, this song is great! The crowd and effects you used really make it seem live, as though you're walking on stage little by little starting to play the parts. Great job! Keep up the good work.
Planet Metal by aktm 8 years ago
Incredible song! Like the best of all the guitar leads I've heard... Everything meshes wonderfully, and the distorted lead in the front is a great opener! No constructive criticism here, just finishing my third listen. No iPod yet for me, so the next best thing is a ***** rating in iTunes. This song totally derseves the number of hits and 10's it's getting. Keep up the awesome work!
PickinForLeoK by OldLady 8 years ago
That was all loops? Wow... very good usage! It actually sounded original there. Some of the folks on here need to learn how to do what you did. Great song though!
Heaven's Door by clayman 8 years ago
Download? Option-click works for me!

As for this cover, yeah it has some flaws, like the tinny vocals, but I liked it... gave an entirely different feeling than the other two covers I heard. The effects add the cowboy aspect to it too. Keep up the great work!
Heart of Gold by matty 8 years ago
Great cover of the song! For 45 minutes of fun, you put together a great sounding track. I thought the vocals were good, myself. Beats anything I could attempt!
Scarborough Fair by georgeh 8 years ago
I prefer the original, but I can't say this isn't a good, short cover of it... Definately off from the original in composition, but still cool.
Knocking on Heaven's Door by matty 8 years ago
Pretty good song! Not much else to say, but a great cover of a classic.
UTI in the Beast by avuncularmom 8 years ago
Ok, the song itself is pretty good, sounds put together well. And the lyrics sounded like they were good, but I say this in the best way and meaning possible... can you have someone else sing it? That kinda killed it for me.
salten ya by azul3d 8 years ago
Very cool, upbeat, dance song! Perfect for a nice sunny day. The ending is sudden, but I'm not sure how that could be changed. Not on a song like this, i don't think.
Short n Sweet by TBR 8 years ago
I like it! It is short n sweet, but a catchy little tune nonetheless.
Apple Switch Commercial Music Remix by Red_Egg 8 years ago
Make it longer! That was pretty neat! I was just getting into the song, and it was over... ;-(

Ok, i agree, Very weird. And trancy... I couldn't decide whether to stomp the foot, or be confused. Haha, but it was fun!
the carney stomp by gglendon 8 years ago
Hahaha... Well, I'll say this for sure, I laughed through the whole thing! I'd change the title from "The Carney Stomp" to "Escape the Freak Show" or something! I rate it an 8 for the sheer ability to remind me of a scary carny incident I ha with my girlfriend. It's so whacked and freaky, it's good!
Nova Hyperion by azul3d 8 years ago
That is some nice piano and guitar! Very good song! I wouldn't change anything that you've done, except for possibly adding a bass track in there to fill in the guitar more, but that would be a minor adjustment! Great work!
The Gift by Keith 8 years ago
Does sound like something you'd have accompanying a video or something... The background music fits perfectly!
In the Mood by TaG 8 years ago
That's why you use a Mac, right? haha, I liked it.

There were two transitions that seemed a little too harsh. Like they changed too abrubtly, and those were when the "sqeak box" (for lack of a better term) ended the first time and then started up again. Probably just because it was loud enough to take center stage makes it more blatant when it cuts out.

Otherwise, that was a good tune, since it was based off of loops only! I'm in the same boat myself right now... Loops and added sound files.
Saddam and Me by potty_pigeon 8 years ago
I really liked that bass! Pretty catchy composition. I'd probably turn up the vocal pieces though, they were a bit hard to hear. I have to download it so I can to listen to the bass track some more.
A Strange Day (Cover) by dlefebvre 8 years ago
I don't know The Cure, but it sound good to me! Maybe if I listened to some of their stuff I could rate this better... My problem, not yours! Anyways, i liked the way it sounds and effect to the vocals. Did you use any loops in this, or manually create it to copy the original?
Whiny Brat - vocals from homestarrunner.com by titaniumducky 8 years ago
I don't like food anymore either. I like the quote usage. Heck, i like anything Homestar related! I'd recommend adding some more music to it though... hehe...
Orchestral Noodling by TaG 8 years ago
he, he... i liked it... found myself tapping my foot to it too. I liked the mix of loops and orginal stuff, too. My only suggestion is the drums parts, they seem too jerky, like they start and stop to suddenly. Just my two cents.
Be Like Fahd (remixed for clarity) by ffej225 8 years ago
Thanks! I took the orignal and fixed the levels on some of the parts to get rid of where it got fuzzy... Hopefully it's ok now. Sounds great in my car!

Thanks for the comments! I'm working on another one, but am not sure where to take it yet... Need more time to goof off with GB!
12 String Ethereal by mrstangblb 8 years ago
Pretty good! The guitar is very cool... I just would've liked it better wihout the drums added in!
church-beat by bravo 8 years ago
That was a great song! Foot-tapping good... Needs some work at the end I think, like a fade-out or echo off of the last key. And I'd say to add some cymbals for the drums so they sound more "gospelly". All around, great tune!

Arrrggghhhh!!! That was not right! It's stuck in my head now too...

Great song, simple, yet so catchy
Carl Server Down by jcook793 8 years ago
That was hilarious! I see why it's "explicit" but it's still a great song... I need to play it for my friends who are LAN-addicted,
Somebody by butler 8 years ago
Great song! Why is this "Explicit"?? Is it due to the shortend term for "bull fecal matter"? Anyways, very good track and quite catchy. Only thing keeping it from a 10 from me was what others have said - more dynamic changes and some drum variety, like a few rolls. Awesome job!
Unchi by murderofcrows 8 years ago
What is unchi?

Ok, other than that, weird song, but good. Lots of different loops in there, and while the transitions were good, I'd try to lessen them a bit. Seems too sporadic. I'm not gonna spread it on my face though...
Jet set go by silverbox 8 years ago
Great tune! I like the sound and the way it's set up... I thought it might need some retuning to get some of the guitar right on. In some spots, it lags behind the drums or seems to be out of sync with them. if you change it, let me know!
First Move by Keys 8 years ago
Great tune, I like the way it was blended and all! The only thing I would change is the ending... personal preference maybe, but it just kind of stops. The synth leads were awesome though!
choir by jcn 8 years ago
Cool song, I liked the way it feels natural and all... I'm wondering about the ending, though. I agree with emersive, it needs something, but I don't know what exactly. It has a good sound as is, but feels different than the rest of the song.
Desert Ride Remix by BamBoo 8 years ago
11 if I could. It's better than the original!!
Desert Ride by BamBoo 8 years ago
And here I was sitting here saying, "I'm not going to hand out 10s unless they REALLY earned it." THAT song definately earns it... I'm off to listen to the remix now (I had the same complaints (though they're sooo minor) as the others: new intro and remove scratching). How can awesomeness like this be done in 3 - 4 hours?? I am amazed...
Inspirer la nuit by Ryk Groff 8 years ago
That was a great piece of music! I played it twice before i dowloaded it because it made such a great background track for work. My only complaint is that the end is barely audible. I cranked up my volume to hear the crickets... Is that just because it's Lo-Fi? Would love to hear the 9.4MB version!
State of the Union by Hetty 8 years ago
I liked it too, but definately less clapping and needs a fade out at the end. Maybe bump the sound up on the gavel part (?) I couldn't hearit much... Sounded like a straight audio clip though, no cutnpasting? I'll have to try that! I'll have to go hear the new version...
When the Music Fades by MiniMac 8 years ago
First of all I love that song (we play it at my church) and i thought you did a great job... The accapella was really nice, never quite thought of doing the song that way before... It seemed to have a little too much effect, like is was trying to get technoee. Anyways, it was cool having the breathing in there... to me, that makes a song a bit more emotional (and easier to sing along with, when you know when to breath!).
Chopin in Rio de Janero by Makimoko 8 years ago
I like the piano with the drums and wished that it continued the whole time, with the strings and horns as highlights to it, instead of replacing the piano with them. Right now, it does seem to jump instruments too much. I did like it though!
Sad by nagareboshi 8 years ago
All but the drums on the keyboard? Pretty good sound, definately a downer... hehe. Personally, I thought maybe a bit more bass would be cool. But your timing sounds very good, keep it up!
Hog Garments by weevil 8 years ago
It was so... so... wierd! Yet, I laughed and enjoyed it alot... I like what you did on the arrangement too, keep it up!
[ProTools]-Suspense by rex 8 years ago
Now THAT was pretty good! How did you get that male choir like sound? I can only request for a longer version - it's dark and nice...
Here Comes The Sun by RicP 8 years ago
Personally, I liked the redo. Of course, it's GarageBand and we're all amateurs... so based on that, it was better than I expected! Better than I could do myself! I'm not brave enough to attempt singing for the world to hear, my poor fiancee gets to deal with that. smiley

As a newbie, I have taken to rating songs based on how much I like them, how the quality of the song is (technical mixing and all) and overall originality. If I hear something that is way better than anything I can/could do, then it gets rated high. 'Nuff said.

You earned an 9 from me! I think your rendition was right on with The Beatles original music. As far as constructive criticism (isn't that the point of the forum here?), I'd redo the harmony part and drop the level a bit so it's not so loud. It kind of conflicted slightly with the main part. Keep up the great work!
coffee & donuts by black13 8 years ago
I can't put my finger on it... I don't know what makes me like it so much, but I do! It's so low-key, but not... Where's my Starbucks? Time to listen again.

And, uh... I don't know where to put it either.
In the Cards by katar 8 years ago
Well, I, uh, used that loop in one of my songs. smiley Along with one of the guitars that I heard in this one... Great minds think alike? Who knows...

Anyways, nice song!
