Biography
My name is Fulvio Romano (hence fromano), italian from Brindisi, software analyst/programmer, dubious musician in the spare time.
I've started playing when I was a kid (in the late '70s) in some garage bands, just to end up playing GarageBand (and Logic) these days.
I had "archived" my guitar in the case 20 years ago, along with my dreams about being a professional musician, to get a "normal" job and earn a living, and consequently spent my time working like a mule in a mine ever since..until I casually stumbled into this site. I took my guitar off its case, and you can guess what happened thereafter.
Now I play in 4 different bands, and I'm having fun, but I keep recording my humble stuff, some of which you can find in this great site.
My studio equipment :
Hardware: MacBook pro 17, M-audio keystation 61, M-audio Black box, Yamaha HS50 monitors, Line6 PodXT Live.
Guitars : Paul Reed Smith Custom 22, Fender Telecaster, Fender Stratocaster, Gibson Tennessean, Gibson Les Paul studio, Guild Starfire VI ('67), Gretsch 5120, Gretsch Pro-Jet, Ibanez AF75, Steinberger el. guitars, Washburn dreadnought, Ibanez acoustic guitars, Crafter classical guitar, SX dobro, 2 luthier-made OM-size acoustics.
Basses: Peavey 6-strings fretless, Storm 6-string fretted, Squier Jazz, Stagg 4-string fretless.
Keyboards Hamichord Hammond clone, Yamaha MM8, Yamaha P85 stage piano, Roland SH201 and Korg R3 synths.
Amplifiers: Vox AC30 CC2, Ashdown peacemaker tube, Ampeg and Brendamhill bass amp.
Mic: Proel ch42 and Behringer C1 condenser microphones,
Software: Logic Studio, Amplitube 2, NI B4, Melodyne studio, iDrum.
Likes: Rock and roll, Computer programming, Beauty, Smiles, Peace, love in any possible form.
Dislikes: Ignorance, Arrogance, Stupidity, Machism.
Influences: too many to mention, don't want to bore you to death.
IComp is a great place to be in, and I feel lucky. I've found lots of talentful musicians and composers here, and some very good friends.
