| Thank you. I appreciate your comments. I took the track from The Beat Generation Box Set, a collection of poems, songs and reporters' stories from the late 1950s and early 1960s. I altered the sample's pitch, resonance and speed. This gave it an ominous, dark feeling. I've never used my own voice, but I'm thinking about writing some vocals for this track. Or, once written, I might try to find someone else to do the vocals. Tomorrow is ELECTION DAY... GO OBAMA!!!!! |

yeah... this is nice... reminiscent of Sage Francis without being a ripoff. I like the layered vocals too... I also like the touch of distortion and echo on the supporting vocals... it reminds me a little of Sole. I agree that you might want to turn up the vocals just a bit. There are some crackles in the middle. Can you get rid of those? |

Another great track.... although the predominant synth gets annoying pretty quickly... only because it is the same fast saw filter all the way through... I think it detracts from some of the more complicated and intricate details of the song, particularly the underlying melody. |

I don't like the beginning. It relies too heavily on "stock" synths and makes the intro sound cheesy. That said, I really like the groove once it gets going. After the first 45 seconds or so, the track explodes. Perhaps you could try to chop up the synch a bit in the middle, just to give it a breakdown in the middle... all just my opinion... |
