Just a lovely piano arrangement. Genius! I love the little synthy bit that circles and flies about the piano about 1 min into the song. Here comes yet another harmonious layer, then the simple piano... onward. Incredible!

This is totally awesome dude. I love every last bit from the bit crunchy drums, drone-like synths, etc. Off the hook!

I really dig this Matt! This is certainly not pop-country and has a great forward thinking, not-off-the-shelf vibe. The slide stuff is killer too. Neat!

She Walked Inside by gunk 2 years ago
As far as the lyrical influence... I've been watching too much TV lately, and the daytime programming on basic cable almost pushes me to the point of driving a nail in my own head at times. smiley

The music... This is actually a tune I've been working with for the past few years and it has seen a few different versions over that time. He's the earlier take from 2005 (it's really better in some ways): http://www.icompositions.com/music/song.php?sid=63045

Longer would be good. Perhaps I'll back and revise this one. I really like the bass work myself (if I'm allowed to say that about my own music!), and have some ideas on how I could expand on this.

The underlying bass riff was influenced heavily by Pink Floyd's songs, "Main Theme" and "Dramatic Theme" from their 1969 Album, "Music from the Film More" - Their first full length soundtrack. Here's some more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Music_from_the_Film_More

Spiders in Your Mind by gunk 3 years ago
Yeah, I usually take pride on my mixing ability, and you're really right about the bass on this song. I made this a while ago, and I think I was going for a muddy feel. Sounds OK on the M-Audio BX5a monitors, but they're pretty good at dealing with heavy bass lines.

Thanks for the comments!

Thank you! I'm a huge fan of Industrial, and think that it's an avenue I'd like to venture down someday. I'd like to bring something new to the table though, perhaps a warmer feeling industrial sound. That's not to say I don't love Funker Vogt, Skinny Puppy, etc. smiley
