How About that Blues Thing by Dallas 5 years ago

Love the sound of this.
At some point, the guitar reminded me of some song from Cream (?? can't really spot it!).
Overall it is a great performance! Guitars, keys, harmonica, bass: it all sounds so great! Vocals would give it the final touch.
Didn't really like the fade out at the end though...
Great job, thanks for posting!

I like the concept behind this...very dark tune!
I love the sound of the organ!
Instrument playing is awesome! You sing out of key just a bit in a couple of notes, although I like your voice, so that's fine too!
Looking forward to a collab!!!

For those who haven't followed, compuguy1088 added viola and choral parts here:
http://www.icompositions.com/music/song.php?sid=30690
and etgilles sang and made it his own here
http://www.icompositions.com/music/song.php?sid=30689

Both of these contributions are extremely creative and unique. This is what covers should sound like! Keep 'em comming!
Blackbird, just guitars-start singing people! by haroldgimenez 6 years ago
nothing has a very important point here! Especially in the beginning...I know there is a 'soundless' space there - lets just keep it there, don't remove it. We can remove for the final version!
I love where this is going guys, thanks for contributing!!!!

These viola melody change the mood of the song so much! I love it! In a way its psychodelic...takes you places, flying with the bird! The black one, that is!
Superbly done!

cool et...
Since I played this on one shot and the way I felt like doing it, it is not exactly as the beatles version. So the best thing to do is to listen to my version with vocals and take it as a guide (when does chorus come in, etc!). Here's a link to that version with vocals:

Be creative and enjoy yourselves!!

Bassic #1 by haroldgimenez 6 years ago
Hey thanks so much...
I actually have mixed fealings about this one! I would've never given it 5 stars on production, here's why:
Although I love the grooves and ideas that came to me on this song (the over fuzzed bass in the middle of the tune, or the latin stuff) this is the first time I connected an instrument to my recently baught interface and started playing around with GB. This leads to not really knowing what I'm doing. It took me a while to have it record in the first place. On top of that, I had selected stereo input on the bass, so if you listen carefully (put on some headphones if needed) all of the bass is recorded on the right side only!!! I hate that, and if you guys know of a way of fixing it let me know!
I think that the volume levels are screwed up too...but I really had fun doing this, so I decided to post it.
Thanks again for the comment Aruera!

Builds up nicely - I enjoyed it...horns at the beginning are awesome.
Like the background modulated (?) cords cuz they give the piece a whole gelatinous base, but I would lower a bit on the piano.
Percussion fits great, although I would add more of 'em ... some chocking changes which in my opinion could be eased with the use of percussion.
Overall great concept and melodies!

IMHO needs some work at the end, so 4 stars for creativity.

guitar solo superb, of course...but the way the bass and the drum "talk to each other" is very powerfull!

So I put on my headphones and start listening...
Was starting to fly for a bit, and didn't expect the ending, which is a GREAT thing. I love it when music surprises me, when I'm not able to anticipate what's comming next the first time I listen to a song - this one did that to me...

Those horns are just incredible! love toward the end the figures you paint with those keyboards...it suddenly got chilly in here smiley

At points, especially the beginning and the end, the beat kind of bothered me...hard to describe why, though! It is just a small peculiarity of mine with no intent to lower the overall quality of the tune...

just great! thanks
