| @bigdaddycee Thanks Cee... your's & Sammy's production skills, time and effort, as well as just pure talent speak loud enough for themselves, but I will say this we are all in agreement and it's mainly about "Love" our love for Music, our craft and what we do. And I know some will read this and say "it's just for fun" or "stop bashing" blah blah blah this has nothing to do with negativity but "Love". I can respect to each his own I just hope when these sessions are done that even the just having fun throwing loops together person can at the least have a road map to improve their sound if they want to. | @sprkymrt Thanks for your comment, yeah way more listens than comments maybe it's because I normally play and sing and I'm not doing either, who knows... just as long as someone gets something out of it, and I'll be happy just because your here @sammydix ha yeah I do that sometimes too (waiting on vocals) And yeah this is about using loops better, and from a musician stand point I hope by the time the sessions are done to influence others to play or play along with the loop to add there own flavor. I don't care for the line up any loop and leave it sound either, though I hear it alot. Again hopefully some will see with a little effort they can sound much better. I also approach loops with some theory in mind which cords fit in the key I'm in and which cord will lead to the next. I think loops can be a learning tool as well to advance your playing just like practicing a riff from your fav player. Knowing how and why he went there maybe used for future use. Oh by the way if you want the track to do your magic with I can send it to you just let me know it's bit weird but I'm sure you could make it into something. | Hey cool song... I think one issue is not having an interface, your mic and preamp are fine, they could possible be a bit much for your computer sound card. Is the HPF on when you are recording if so don't use that? It sounds like to me the compression and other effects are sucking the life out of the vocals I can even hear it a little on the instruments. Another thing that might sound silly but happens alot is your mic facing the right way? Where were your settings on this recording? I would record it again with everything off but the mic pre, when you do, if it still sounds like this, send me the vocal file and I'll figure how to beef it up using just GB if that is all you have. If you have other 3rd party plugins let me know and well go from there. My opinion is everything you have should be able to get a better signal into your daw can't tell yet way not but you just go about it in steps,eliminating one thing at a time. But let me back up and say I so glad and honored to have worked with artneuro & SoulSurvivor it was such a short notice I gave them and they got it done in no time, thanks guys it is appreciated. @SoulSurvivor I don't feel you fell short it's more on me than anything, I asked for you specifically because I know what you can do. I'm sort of a drummer more from the drumline (Tenor & Bass) than a set but I can make due, but had to give up the drums for sports. So yeah it means something to me too and I aways wanted to hear a drummers take on the "Little Drummer Boy". Hopefully there will be many more collabs to come. | How to change midi loop: This is the easiest so I'll start here. Just drag the loop when the track is created then double click the track (not midi file) or you can click the i (bottom right corner) and it'll bring up software instrument/master track. You can now use the browse section to change the type of instrument that will play the midi notes. Also changing the octave of the midi notes can be helpful or rearranging however, that's the joy of midi a lot to explore. How to change an audio loop: This is a bit harder and involves effects. Same steps as before but this time when you use the browse it will not change the instrument but effects used on the instrument. This can still work in your favor. For instance you have an acoustic loop you can use an electric guitar preset, total different sound. You can also go into "edit" (right next to the browse tab) and add some cool effects, filters delays, amps, whatever, to alter the sound and complexity of the loop. Also playing around with pitch and bpm can bring about a fresh feeling to a loop. I play as well so I like to learn the loop and then I can take it wherever I want, but adding just a few of your own notes to the loop can do wonders as well. There are plenty of tutorials here and on you tube to get some more tricks and better acquainted with Garageband. Feel free to send a message if you have any questions. Moses |

| I think you have potential with your mesh of sounds and loops. I would like to offer some feedback as well. I would suggest trying to use less used loops (strings) and if you are going to use them disguise them with effects or changing the instrument. The other thing is to make your transitions a little smoother coming in and out of the loop. You can do this with flex time and fading in & out, or play a couple passing notes to connect the themes. Hope this helps you have an ear to do this just keep tweaking it and you'll be there in no time. Moses |

Please forgive me for just responding in general instead of individually as I normally do. I definitely understand the effects issue, because I tend to think the same thing as most can tell on my other stuff. I guess I put it in anyway because I was trying to be consistent with ambient music vocals I've heard. I think I'll toy around with it maybe dial back the reverb on the higher vocals and track, because the low vocals actually don't have much reverb on them. | Nice I like this groove I wonder if it's at the right tempo... Maybe play around with slower or faster maybe even adding some "swing quantizing" to everything sometimes that puts the groove more in position. It's at a nice tempo now just maybe there's a sweeter spot I could be wrong though let me know if you try anything. | Hey Luna didn't know you had a tune up. I like this... I hear it a little different than videoscore I hear it with very little musical intrusion. Maybe old sounding piano or maybe acoustic or blues guitar. I think your vocal and mainly your story telling should shine here as if it's a play. If I'm understanding the vocal right, you're falling from yourself to get closer to her... Nice concept.. | I think this is one of the clearest and better representatives of your vocal tone and I love it. I'm more a fan of tone than anything when it comes to music and singing. Your mix for a newbie to a mac is very good as well. I can't wait until you fully get the grasp of GB man look out. Thanks for sharing and everyone involved in making this wonderful song happen. | I like this and I love that it sounds like it's just you and your guitar not studio souped up. I hear either the noise gate or compression kicking in on the vocal, if you want that removed I might can help...
