| I actually like as is except that it does cut off... But as far as not cutting the "muster" or "sync or out of key" with the song information stating "nostalgia" I believe it achieves that. Having been in a few jazz bands since elementary it definitely brings back memories. In this day of computers and loops (where everything can be moved to fit nice and perfect) it's refreshing to hear those being used to actually sound closer to reality. So if this was your intent great job and their is no denying the excellent arrangement. I know people thought strange of me calling you one of my favorite composers in and out of iComp. This song is a testament to that statement If this mixing is a result of your computer speakers use them all the time seriously though, I would use them as one of the references. | Padowan thanks for your compliments I can always count on you to bring a smile to my face thanks I needed that. You are really uplifting to all the singers here which I appreciate. And glad you caught the lo-fi I was this close to adding the needle hitting the vinyl lol it was more the equipment I used than anything but I did know the out come before I download it Thanks Mori and Pharmakeus definitely a good arrangement to work with. Thanks Andreas I appreciate it coming from the man with all the great vocal harmonies... As for the style I've sang gospel, jazz, blues, classical, r&b, hiphop kinda in that order so I'm just coming full circle I guess. I really love ballads more than anything I don't have many posted so that could be it. Thanks Bob this is as close to live as possible ( if I could sing five voices at once) . I did it in a stand alone multi tracker. I put all the backgrounds on their own track I think it was four but I did adlib with some of the background vocals. | I really think you have a special song here Stebbo, but I do think it needs a few tweaks. The reverb ratio from wet to dry seems to be to much on the wet side easy fix. I'd love to hear a killer lead solo added (iComp offers a few) On the background vocals double and add spread or distance. What you have here today deserve the treatment to be put up there with some of the other great songs here at icomp. Yes Luporiz you are right and I love constructive by the way Mori's wonderful piano is the lead in his track and I would of had to filter or eq it in order to not compete with the lead space atleast in my little mixing knowledge. So decide to compromise and share it since I only had the downloaded track.
