HI My name is Howard Jackson and I have just joined iCompositions. I have been playing the piano for about 15 years and started taking lessons around 7 years ago. Progress has been frustratingly slow but I have enjoyed the journey and I am starting to make some nice sounding music. I am not into to technique and it shows. But I can improvise and recently with the help of Garageband I have made a lot of progress in a very short space of time.

I only got introduced properly to Garageband in March, 2006 when I bought a Mac G5. Since then the quality of my finished product has improved dramatically and I have now set up a website. I do intend to showcase some of my music on the site but it is early days yet and the site is currently mostly about my photography. There will also be some writing - mainly short stories.

I have always been a very nervy player and whilst I have been happy to share my tunes with one or two people I am not convinced that I will ever have the confidence to play in public - though it may come one day.

I have been posting tunes to iCompositions for a few months now. I have had some really nice comments and that has built up my confidence. I am now ready for some more critical feedback. If you have anything to say about my music I would really appreciate some honest feedback. If you have any suggestions on how I can improve my work/ find new directions for me to go in I would genuinely like to hear them.

If you are interested in doing some collaborations I would be really happy to give it a try. I am new to that way of working but get in touch if you would like to give it a try. I am particularly interested in working with vocalists.
