![]() Nice cover. the production quality is amazing and you play the piece very well. if i had to guess, i would say this was recorded in a studio except for the bass is a little weak. great integration of drum loops. keep on posting! |

| ZZ93: yes, there were no effects used. this was one of my first attempts at using a live instument with garageband. StoryBox: true, i do have pretty basic equpiment. i'm working with a 3 yr old ibook and a cheap m-audio box along with a 1/4 inch chord that i think is a bit past its prime. unfortunately the funds are not always available to an 18 yr old for the nicest stuff. thanks for the comments everyone. later... | |

| no explanation needed. anyone who knows music will understand this rating. at least there are no phony ratings on this one. if you want real advice stefanopolis, request a rating from "vaporman", who is the offical rater of the site (i believe). He will give an in depth rating with regards to all aspects of the song. If you want him to rate one, just send him a message. You can search for his postings all over the site to see what i'm talking about, he's legit. I would LOVE to hear what he has to say about your songs. until then, don't be cocky in your desciptions, don't give your songs fake ratings, and have a little respect for yourself, c'mon, did you really think you could get away with the fake ratings? Us musicians are not that stupid. Later... | |

| i don't know stefan, that didn't exactly melt my face or bust my gut. First off, your levels are too high, hence the distortion. Second, you song exists merely as a collection of GB loops. This would be perfectly o.k., if they wern't so poorly organized. Third, i've been reading the other comments, and have done a little research. Shame on you. That's pretty weak **** man. Rigging the rating of your songs with comments from obviously fake addresses. Anyone with half a musical mind would tell you to pack up and go home. I know Garage Band is fun, and putting loops together are fun, and posting them on the internet is fun, but pretending to be something you're obviously not, is just lame. But then again, maybe this is just what you want. Create huge arguments while you sit laughing in your basement looking at porn all night. Whatever your motives are, as a musician, you suck. Oh and by the way, i'll be expecting some uninspired, uneducated, weak ratings and comments to my songs. I've heard from many a person that in stead of taking contructive criticism and try and get better, you merely go to their songs and trash perfectly good music for no reason. Man you're cool. | |

| this here is grade A song writing. It stays interesting the whole way through. you maintain a constant mood, one that i'm quite fond of by the way. it's got some nice complex layering and beautiful harmonies. not only all this, but there's just so much material here. this is what i call composing. this is headed for my favorites list, most likely to my ipod as well. i'd love to hear some more stuff like this. 5 STARS | |

| Dream by mac_smack | 7 years ago |
| that was awesome. the voice over makes the piece very moving and emotional. just wondering, was the piano a loop or was the your own comp? Regardless, a great production. it would be cool as a background soundtrack during a slide show of dr. king. nice work mac smack. | |

| not too shabby. i feel the title. to me, it just makes sense. creative mix of loops, i like the diverse sounds you blended. the only problem that it seems to be layer after layer after layer. i would suggest making your melody 4 bars, instead of the 1 or 2 that it sounds like. (ie: use different loops of the same instrament and put them together to get a more complex sound) that way, it makes it harder for the listener to get bored. altogether a solid piece that has some good potential. | |
| Second Blues by inkubus4511 | 7 years ago |
| wroa - i had initially intended for there to be a flute line, but when i mixed it, it just didn't fit. This was because the GB flute is pretty awful, and the other tracks sound very close to the real thing. If performed live, flute would be a real possibility. thanks for the comments. Later... | |

| Work in Progress by inkubus4511 | 7 years ago |
| indeed, it lacks a dominant melody. but, since i created this song with mc's in mind, it exsists merely as a track to freestyle over. that's the reason for the somewhat simple sound. thanks for the comments. | |

| i need love by dutch | 7 years ago |
| what up dutch. i have to say i liked your other r n b post better. The melody has a very sharp sound to it that made the song as a whole a little uncomfortable. Some disonance made the chord progressions a little unusual for traditional r n b, but then again, i'm all about the disonance and unusual. Overall a good production, just a few things that set it back a couple stars. Later... | |

| Glad you liked it. I was definitly going for the "look over your shoulder" feel. I'm thinking about laying some strings down on either the verse or chorus, perhaps both. I think that might add to the drama. | |
| Inner Illuminations 2 by AtommikBoy | 7 years ago |

I'm mad. I should have given this a 5. just listened to it again. judging by your description of the song, i'm not suprised by the conditions under which you wrote it. I think i'll put this one away for a while and then put it on surround sound on a "special night". let's just hope i don't get too freaked out! 8> ![]() |

| I'd really appreciate some comments on this one. It seems to go unlistened to, perhaps because it's under jazz and not as many people come around these parts. Give it a listen and tell me what you think! | |
| Baghdad Disco by slackart | 7 years ago |
| The problem with this one is the multitude and thickness of the loops. It never really generates a familiar melody, and thus sounds a bit scattered. Also, the synth seems to drown out what i initially thought was going to be the main theme. (ie: the middle eastern guitar sample) It leaves me wondering which one is supposed to be the dominant sound. Good foundation though. Perhaps a little remix might do the trick | |

| Actually, the piano was not sampled. It was an original composition in full, no loops from GB or anything like that. I guess the resemblance to Phillip Glass is coincidental. Thanks for the comments though. | |
