| Thanks JD! That's exactly what we are going for. Since my buddy and I were the rhythm section of a band for a number of years in the early 90's, I think we are really aware of keeping the groove going. I have suprised him with how well we can pull off some songs that he didn't think could be done with just acoustic guitars (although he plays bass in this one and a number of others in our setlist). | Thanks! Actually this was inspired by the MTV Unplugged session SRV did where he played Pride And Joy with his 12 String. He did Testify with the 12 too, FREAKIN UNREAL. Look for it on Youtube. Believe me though, this doesn't sound remotely the same. LOL. |

| I was struggling with the guitar sound actually. What I really need to do is mic it along with the direct in then I can get both the sounds I am looking for. However, I went back to listen to the acoustic version of Pink Houses by Mellencamp and actually it is not warm at all, in fact, it's almost tinny. Despite that, I like the guitar sound warm and just re-eq'd it to warm it up a bit. I will put the warmer version up now. | |
