Biography
Jblend's love for music got a jump-start back when Casio keyboards were $29.99 at K-mart. After saving up allowance for five months, he bought one, started playing and never looked back.
His musical influences include Pet Shop Boys, Claude DeBussy, Cole Porter, Harry Connick, Jr., BT and Moby.
"I see my music as storytelling -- that's why I love well-chosen samples so much; they give narrative weight to the music and give voice to my stories," Jblend says.
Jblend has written more than 35 works for iCompositions Radio over the past several years. This music is mostly electronic or ambient. (Scroll down for a complete list of these works.)
Recently, he began composing music for short film. As part of a team of filmmakers, Jblend participated in Washington DC's 48 film project. His first film included a comedic, offbeat soundtrack that told the story of a mime's one night stand. His second film work provided the music engineering for an historical romance/horror. (Jblend also served as director for the film's B unit.)
Filmography:
"The Most Non-Extraordinaire Hookup of Mime Life" and "The Reposed" both available here:

Most recently, Jblend has created a score for an original stage production for "Chocolate Jesus," a storytelling stage show, as part of Washington DC's Fringe Festival. These short works reflected the subject matter of each storyteller's theme, tone and voice. The music, used as intros, outros and segue pieces are available here:
