David, this is so delicate and honest. Your lyrics and vocalization are very touching, too. Being a fan of over-production, this is not my usual cup of tea. But it's exceptional! I would've enjoyed just a few moments of the guitar by itself... between verses, just so I can think about what you've just said. But overall, I love it.

This has a beautiful, subtle feeling to it that reminds me more of jazz than electronica. Love the vocal samples. Very effective. Thanks so much for sharing this.

This is an awesome track. I love the pictures that you paint. The guitar is wonderful. I love the way it sounds. Vocal arrangements are nicely done.

It's fascinating that we shared the same idea, but two _completely_ different songs:

Great track! I absolutely love the story that you tell here. I agree with jolofsson that the vocals could be more upfront without any changes.

I hate to sound like I'm self-promoting here, but I think it's fascinating that we had very similar memories of fireflies; I tried to capture my experience here:

How wonderful! I love the mellow, loungy vibe here. The choice of instruments is perfect. All the sounds work well together. I love the slight amount of distortion that you use. Nicely done. I would have liked just a bit more variation on the theme. But this is a minor point. Thanks so much for sharing this!

This is an interesting soundscape. I love that you have a full spectrum of sound: bass, mid and treble. I would have preferred a little bit more action -- I'd like something to "jump out in front" just a little. But this is a wonderful start! Good test, mtd!

This has a great feel to it. I love the use of synths -- very cool. I agree with esimmens that you should just tweak the synths a bit to make sure that they're on beat. I love the sample, too. Tranquility Base! What a great choice for samples. I love space samples so much. (I used 'em on my song, apollo dreaming, and really fell in love with those old scratchy voices -- such emotional resonance!) Thanks for sharing this.

Perfection. What a wonderful combination. I would argue that jazz can be considered an approach to music, not a genre always... just a way of viewing and solving musical problems. Lovely. I like the mix of classical, dance and a bit of a jazzy feel. Wonderful pacing. Unfortunately, a few of the loops that you used are extremely popular, so when I heard them (apparently unfiltered, unphased and un-tweaked), they were kind of distracting. I got some great advice on my first piece on icomp: Make those loops *your own* and don't use them right out of the box. Great job, overall! Thanks so much for sharing this. Impressive and stylish! I agree with David -- the sparseness of this really appeals to me. Make that "the club kid in me." smiley Perhaps just a little melody, though? (I'm echoing Ian, here.) It can be incredibly subtle and not take away from the main thrust of the piece.
