Two of each... ( bleeding heart syndrome ) by colmangus3 7 days ago
Welcome to iComp to you both. Really enjoyed this. Vocals could be just a smidgeon more up front. Has a natural, organic feel - very refreshing in such an over-produced environment that we live in. Love that electric guitar work too.

'Blue' has got be one of the greatest records ever (and I love 'Clouds' and 'Song to a Seagull'). Anyway, love what you've done and that piano work is excellent too. Hoping that you are well recovered from all your vocal woes that I had heard of here.

Some collabs are obvious (after hearing their product). This is an auspicious pairing, for sure. I liked that variation at the end. Nice work, fellas.

I love this interpretation too. Didn't The Cure make a Jimi Hendrix cover on that album too (Foxy Lady, perhaps?). Anyway, nicely played, Johan. Uniquely you of course.

Funky, groovy and almost trippy rock track. Guitar work was great. Has that African feel to it with a little bit of late, late 70's alternative. So glad that I caught this one.

I like it. I understand the idea about the sky and beautiful sights bringing about musical emotions. I hear parts of the Cocteau Twins/Dead Can Dance/Julie Cruise and Clannad in this track.
Just Leave Me This Way, It's Ok by Solomonjones 29 days ago
Enjoyed this very much. It was the subtleties that came through as well as the main melody. There is/was an artist here called Richard Ringer, that your music made me think of. Perhaps, give him a listen and you might enjoy. Welcome to iComp, lots of great people here especially from your neck of the woods.

Wonderful, Johan. It didn't feel clichéd to me (and believe me I know all about clichés, just listen to my songs!). Love that synth at the end.
Seven Deadly Sins by DaveM 1 month ago
I dig it. Classic sound for sure. I'm not comfortable critiquing anyone's art but my 2 cents would be to cut out some of those 'yeah's during the chorus. Great to hear that you're at it again and on the radio no less. Look at that, you even got Ignoramus to comment! Break a leg, Dave.

We will meet up in Toulouse some day, Johan. When I was there, the three of us listened to your song together - a special moment for me!

Thanks again, @paulhaydenmusic. I must point out that Chris @malekey is the musician here, I merely muttered some words over his splendid composition.

This is one of those tracks that gets better after more listenings. After 5 times, I can now comment. I guess that I'm not a good enough writer to capture my thoughts about this song except to say that; you have that certain magic to move people with your music. Glad that you're having fun too.

Digging your 'Soul Asylum' / 'Hoodoo Gurus' vibe in your vocals. For me, I get a kick from hearing some straight up rock material as we have an ocean of electronica here (which I love).

To think that you got this production level out of Garageband still amazes me after all these years. The interaction and rhythm between the guitar and vocals are sublime.
My Nerd Girl (fixed) by Tribrix 3 months ago
First off, I really enjoyed it. I suppose (and I'm never comfortable telling others how to change their art), the vocal could do with just a smidgeon less reverb/echo. A break/bridge with a Moog type sound would offer some relief from the verses. The rhythm of the words are difficult to attain (I know this 'cause I tried this type of vocalizing and failed miserably), so as the others suggested try a few lines re-written (easier said than done). Perhaps, the other vocal layer could be panned just a little more to the right (ever so slightly though). Just a few thoughts. The lyrics are great though.
