![]() Interesting idea, but you could tell this story with about 1/2 of the lyrics which are too long and labored. Also, focus on the refining the melody... the music itself. |

| This is really GREAT... in it's mix of traditional instrumental sounds and phrasing-- bending and morphing them into the surreal sounds of space. Thanks! |

| The Fox (mixed with Logic) by calebhawkins | 4 years ago |
![]() Wonderful clear guitar and vocals as usual, Caleb. The very first version I ever heard of this song was on a Smothers Brothers record from around 1966. Tommy Smothers butchered it into something ridiculously hilrious... so it's nice to hear an authentic rendering that does the original folk tune justice. I like it. |

| Downloaded before 5 secs into the song... called to a meeting with a sucky customer... didn't get to hear the end... that sucked. can't wait for the upcoming root canal... that sucks. In fact the only thing that doesn't suck right now is iComp where you can vent with stuff like this... thanks boris... no need for rating...you get 5 STARS. |

| I'm really glad you left a comment on one of my songs, otherwise I wouldn't have discovered your music. This is a beautiful piece... heartfelt and full of meaning. Thanks- PS I wouldn't put it in the pop category though just because it's an Eurythmics song... your interpretation is totally new. J |

| Peace in the Valley Once Again (solo) by aheurich | 5 years ago |
![]() Wow this is great- 'simply' haunting. The stripping down and processing really works- allows the listener to hear and appreciate the meaning of the lyrics. i commend you for not giving up after the original recording as well for taking a risk. |

![]() This sounds like it was a whole lotta fun. Nostalgic, yet new (and pretty complex) at the same time. If I may make a suggestion, it needs a really rockin drum track... (in addition to the percussion already recorded) Nice work! |

| Let There Be Light by Balok | 5 years ago |

| Pretty Blue Things by TessCrazy | 5 years ago |
| Tess- You are a fine songwriter and singer- I've really been into listening to your lyrics. Regading the chrorus part (since you said yourself you are not that happy with it). I'd suggest that you recruit another voice to sing with you on a regular basis- If only to provide some contrast- to your vocal which is already quite nice. I know I get tired of hearing my own voice double tracked or in harmony. Thanks for these compositions. J |

| Tower of Song (live in rehearsal) by aheurich | 5 years ago |
| As usual those guitars are awesome... and this is impressive work for a rehearsal take. Wonder what Leonard would think! But wait...What if... you slowed it down a bit?... allowing the listener to ponder the lyrics? For me Leonard's songs are so effecticve because of their slower pace. Not that you should imitate LC, but just give the words (and that baratone voice singing those words) time to sink in and permeate the room in a more reflective way. One of the best parts of this version of the song for example, is the very end when you tone it down to really allow that synthesizer in. Taking some time with the words as well might lend this song some new meaning. PS I heard LC is recording again... or was that Cat Stevens? |

| Heroine by Citizencal2 | 5 years ago |
| This is terrific stuff. Really want to hear the muted vocals on the verses a little louder though, especially since they are so important to the piece as a whole. (i like the effect, just want to be able to hear the lyric) Glad too that you didn't give up the fight... |

| When Jonathan Went Country by dunnieboy | 5 years ago |

|
| Hero/Heroine (collaboration) by aheurich | 5 years ago |
| Beauitiful. One comment on production. Did you guys forget to turn off the the monitor in GB Track Mixer? The latency issue, results in Chuck's vocal being just a tad behind Armin. Or did you want it that way for a lagging effect? In any case, he combination of your totally opposite vocal styles is awesome. |

| Hero/Heroine by aheurich | 5 years ago |
| I didn't hear the earlier version, so I have nothing to compare it to. But this sounds terrific...so far. The harmonies and accoustic guitar/s should really fill it out. Are you considering some kind of percussion? I like it! |

|
| edifice by theDRP | 5 years ago |
| Man, this is real outsider alt/folk (for lack of a better term) at it's best. Abstract lyrics... words you have to listen to a few times and do some guessing before getting any kind of real understnding of what they are about... Combine em with a unique tune and arrangement and you've got a piece thats more challenging than much of the stuff you hear today on the folk stations. Lets hear more. |

| Folsom Prison Blues by aheurich | 5 years ago |
| Man you guys are brave to take on a Johnny C. masterpiece... (I can't hold a candle to the man). In any case, I was thinking, what could they possibly do that would make me want to listen to this (as opposed to the man in black singing FPB)? Well... -You speeded up the tempo...song moves along at a steady clip almost like a rock-a-billy tune. All of the sudden FPB is dance-able -Armin's deep deep vocals keep a rich and full sound -Finally those everpresent, driving guitars Can't wait to hear the harmony vocals! |
|
| Alone (All My Life) by Baboon | 5 years ago |
| Man, this has a raw, uneffected feeling... simply wonderful harmonies. GB voice effects are great... but when to strip em all away (or don't use them at all) you are left with JUST the singers' unique sound... somehow that makes the most powerful impression... at least for me. |

| Music for B&W Existential film by Denschebetta | 5 years ago |
![]() I clicked on this to take a listen purely because I liked the title... and I wasn't disappointed. It's got a real, raw, raspy, sound. If you added anything else to it or refined it in any way, it would probably be overproduced... I like it as is. |
