well well.. what a mess we have on our hands now! Maybe i just need to learn to keep my pie hole shut! hahaha.

Big Thanks again to Lili for taking the idea and making it a reality. It was definitely fun!!!

Although this is a really cool and weird piece of music, it didnt really come together the way i had envisioned it working... NOT THAT I AM CRITICIZING - BUT for the next time out maybe we need to promote the idea more of a continuous and united song. The idea of an Elegant Corpse (or dead guy) is that each piece should actually sound a bit like the piece that came before it - building on the same musical structure so that we make one song with each artist taking a verse, as it were...

In the original idea of the Cadavre, I believe, it was done by authors as a parlor game. Each person would only get to read the last sentence of the portion written before them.. the last sentence of the piece before yours would be the first sentence of your piece. that sort of thing.

But this still rocks and was fun to be a part of, for sure!!!

Thanks again to Lili and everyone who participated.

i had not listened to this in a week or 2.. and i just wanted to re-iterate how much i like this piece! those vocals always send me!

Mansion On The Hill by Dylan 2 years ago
5

beautiful, my friend!

this music holds a similar place in my personal history as well... thanks for taking me back to that spot.

the production also reminds me (i have said before) of Forbert. You are really in touch with the quintessential feel of these types of songs. and yet you make it your own, like the other greats we are blessed with here at icomp!
Fistful Of Love by etgilles 2 years ago

...except michael stipe only wishes he could sing like our man here!

et just keeps bringing it and bringing it. With the amazing talents of Et, Dylan and Jolo all combined here - i would agree with the earlier comment about this being the holy trinity!

an instant classic... again!

An Instant Classic!

Man I love this!!! The vocals are superb Monkey Man! And Jayman and Macdude and Harold- you are absolute masters of the craft! Cheers to all of you!

There is a resemblance to several well known acts here (Meatloaf, Pink Floyd) I am also reminded a little of Ian Moore... But the boys make this their very own orginal masterpiece!

The vocals at the end are the final stroke of genius and can not help but make me smile... really big!
Flow (Please Hang Up and Try Again mix) by DigitalGreyOrchestra 2 years ago

oh man i love this!! really taps into that white-boy funk sound that bob schneider has capitalized on. Great guitar! Vox! everything rocks about this song. and i completely appreciate the sentiment. Now I am gonna go hide from the kids..... hehehe
EVENTLESS by doddster73 2 years ago
5

this is great dodds! and yes.. i love that guitar also. niiiiice. but your vocals are the star here even when layered in the background. i tend toward the idea of perhaps, more slowly bringing in the various elements and building up to the guitar solo.. but i love the way it comes back down at the end too. mmmm nice stuff.
