Playing par excellence. Sprightly bounding across the sky. I'm finding it interesting to muse on Baroque with fanciful details compared with the 1914 simplistic beauty of the Spad. I wouldn't put it past you to have a motive of historic value here. Or ...maybe not. lol. But you might.

I was trying to get to sleep since I have a 14 hour drive to do in the morning across the Nevada and Utah desert. Decided to check out icomp before hopping back into bed and saw this. Had to log in to say this is absolutely lovely Mr X. I'm out of cd's to put this on and my ipod doesn't work with this new hard drive. Gonna down load if you don't mind and at some point this is gonna be played over and over on the next trip. Many thanks for a splendid and tasteful piece. ( I'd dispute the "new age" moniker but there aint a classic western genre yet.)

Delicate and lovely. Definitely romantic in feel. Hopeful, searching. The pace is calm and soothing. Beautiful changes. Something the world needs more of. I'd like to hear a repeat of the beginning at the end and a fade out just to kind of recap and bring the listeners musical journey back to the origin. (I'm being terribly opinionated today.)
Special Kind Of Love by jibes 2 months ago
5

A real genuine song. Love it. This is what I live for to hear. Wonderful vocals on this. Personable lyrics. If I thought I had anything constructive to say it would be: I wouldn't have minded hearing the outro go a little longer. Even another 20 or 30 seconds with a guitar strum at the finish. But, with that said and it only being my opinion, I think this is fine work and certainly ranks high in originality. Production....dang, wish I could make my stuff sound as good !
Baby Boss by pharmakeus 2 months ago
Wow, love the dreaminess and Chris' guitar steps in for a shot of reality. Also the places when it plays the dreamy accents. I like the juxtaposition of sound it makes. The lyrics are minimal but say a lot. "Cute and crazy, downright lazy" . Wish I had written those lines !! The pace of music is really lovely and the right touch of reverb on the vocal makes this feel like inner thoughts of the subliminal conscious being expressed. I can compare this to the painting of Dali and Jackson Pollock with a touch of Fellini's Juliet of the Spirits.
Artistically I really think this is great.

Kenneth makes a good point Chris. Blues can all sound alike but not yours. You've got a good handle on it and pick content that is not the mediocre stuff we hear too much of. Your give it an originality that makes it new and fresh.

Man, only two comments ??!!?? People must not know what it takes to play like this. Really fine playing Gep. Having worked to get where I am on guitar I sure can appreciate what you are doing and how far you must have come. This is original stuff and that don't grow on trees. This is smooth, all the corners rounded off and you take it for a ride and bring it back home....that's what I call art.

I am late. Hopefully in a fashionable sense but I'm rather uncertain about that. I just read each comment and I am glad that many people relate to your sarcasm and your musical genius.
Quite a gift I say. How a chicken farmer ever became so prominent and so cruel seems a mystery. Socially, I think it could happen today almost anywhere in the world. Politics, fear and bullying create extreme danger to well being. I also liked the chicken. On a side note I would like to have my music carried by Bozophone records if you could put in a good word for me.....

@pharmakeus I had to look her up and found her on myspace. My god, I had to laugh because her band does sound like this. I did this on the korg a couple years ago just as a joke spoofing burlesque music of the 1950's. It's intriguing to consider the association of sex and good times with the music. A bit of a time capsule.
