| Yea the mix is terrible. I just threw the whole thing up in my living room. I made the guitars a little louder to hide my son's noise running around the house. About the finger. It was not only amputated but every bone in that finger was crushed as well. I have no movement of the (remaining) finger bones. It only hinders certain chords and all solos and leads haven't missed a beat. I would honestly say that learning how to solo without my pinky (which was my second dominant finger on my fret hand) has shown me tons of new stuff and different ways of playing that lead to other new discoveries. So it's all good. I hope to re-mix this and maybe do it up a little nicer in the future with actual mics instead of laptop mics. Hope you enjoyed it anyway. |

| Hey Ignoramus, I forgot to uncheck the "Loops" box. I recorded it Reaper. The drums are midi samples i made from EZDrummer (took FOREVER). I have 4 rhythm guitars. Two are actual amps (a Peavey Classic 30 panned full to one side and a Randall RM100 with the XTC module panned to the other) Then I took my Line 6 POD XT Live and used a Plexi setting i came up with and a JCM 2000 setting both on lower gains and panned them opposite of each other. I played a regular guitar through Amplitube 2 on the bass setting then EQ'ed the poo out of it to sound as authentic as I could get it (my bass is broke and so am I). I used a Schecter PT standard and a Gibson Les Paul for the guitars. I mastered it using Isotope Ozone. I think thats about it. Thanks for the comments! | |
