Biography
My oldest, most cherished possession is the Gibson ES335 that I still play every day and got new when I was 12. My second most cherished possession is the Martin acoustic that I got in college. I was in the worst high school band ever. Just bought an ancient Gibson lap steel on ebay that I am learning to play - sort of. The feedback I have gotten from people on this site has been incredibly encouraging.
I have been producing television movies for a long time, and finally feel like I have earned my place on the planet! Life carves away our BS as the sorrows and joys of living grow more profound. Like a great Steinway Concert Grand - our past gives resonance to our here and now.
I was a single father, raised two amazing kids, and wake up every day delighted to be here to play.
Most of the songs here are about the truth (although sometimes it's hard to keep a straight face when being so serious and a few are sardonic, ironic, or just funny). I play everything. All done at home on Garageband. I hope one of these songs rings a little bell in you somewhere.
If you stumble across my music, it would be great to read your thoughts about it. Thanks.
