| Hey Jolofsson - you are right - this is my comeuppance for not just laying down the track in time as one should. I had just read an article in The New Yorker about conductors of orchestras - and how they allow themselves to drift in and out of perfect time - sometimes by substantial intervals - to let the music find itself. I did the tracks on midnight deliberately very quickly, without using a "click" track in the headphones - just to let it breathe - as if there were real musicians there and we were laying it down live. the first of your music I have heard - reminds me of WEATHER REPORT ( speaking of snow) and Joe Zawinal - who played the wurlitzer and rhodes electric pianos. I liked this a lot and was fooling arouond with many of the same sounds myself. If ever you get to my page check out a song called DEAR FRIENDS - not as sophisticated - because I am nowhere near as good a player as you - but was going for something akin. Good stuff. . Thanks |

It's getting so that your default setting is wondrous music...I am at my office and took a work break to listen to this track. All the frantic energy of the day seemed to melt away and I found myself drifting back to the stillness within - which is the only place really from which to watch the craziness out there in the world. This is one fine theme song. The melody - as first introduced - is soooo sweet and memorable that I wish you had taken longer to let me get to know it - and repeated it while changing it slowly... a criticism borne only of liking it as much as I do. I have acquired a number of themes in my day job over the years and your melody is right up there with the best of them. Don't be afraid of your melodies or feel you have to embellish them. What a sweet song! I hear years of piano lessons as well as a lifetime of musical references all wonderfully blended. It was so nice that it made me want to hear it played on a Bosendorfer concert grand instead of whatever piano sound you used. I wanted to hear it really resonate - which these software instruments try to do but never really capture. But thanks for another wonderful piece of music. |

Finally got around to checking this one out. The lyric of course appeals to me -skewed world view that I have. But the vocals are great! Your voice sounds awesome. I never thought I would get to the point around here where I would even be asking the question but - maybe there is a way we could work on something together!
