if i had to pick the old dessert island discs, london calling would have to be t the top of the list, and this of course is one of the seminal songs that drove punk in the new direction (judge said 5 to 10 but i said double that again is still one of the great lines, the best years of your life they want to steal, you start wearing blue and brown, so much great writing!!!) your version is PUNK, with all the mistakes, but the pure enthusiasm of the whole thing, any your vocals are outstanding and VERY spot on, this is about as good a cover as i have heard here on icomp... |
