This was wonderful Miles--great lyrics with a serviceable melody that brings them out well. Your playing and singing is really fine!

This was a real gem Tim--heard it on the other site! Solidly performed and I'll go out on a limb here and say I much enjoyed the percussion on this--especially with the stereophonic it gives, which lifts this piece into another bracket altogether. I was clued in to the works of Doc Pomus by my friend Clay Potts, another vocalist on this site--thanks for remembering him via your great talent!

Take care now,

Thanks Miles--the only thing worse would have been this played on kazoo, but them's the breaks! You know, the original recording of this by Louis Armstrong was the very first one I remember hearing as a child--I just loved that little 45 RPM so much my parents had to buy me at least 2 more copies; probably the very first song I ever learned to sing and I was all of 5 years old (I was a strange kid to put it lightly!)

You take care now and thanks for stopping by!

Hey Impsie! I didn't want to make any more excuses for this one by adding that this backing is probably the all-time worst ever created! I should have put up the Bobby Darin one--oh well!

Oh the guy in the picture--yeah, he was famous for only walking around at night with his head in alignment with the moon. Not an easy task, let me tell you! But definitely an exile from MI for sure (folks, by "MI" we don't mean Michigan, so don't be offended if you reside in that state, although you should be anyway).

Take care Impsie!

Thanks Merlino and Tim! I rather like trying to work on these rapid fire type lyrics and it is a real challenge to get them down solidly as possible (my maternal grandfather was a cattle auctioneer--maybe that helps, I don't know!)

Take good care and hope you have a nice weekend,

I love the upbeat feel and energy of this one Tim--great instrumental work and your vocal has just the appropriate placement that compliments the rhythm of the song--never holding it back but leading it along--you have a voice that so easy to listen to and you sound great.

Very much enjoyed this Dave and if need to send you a royalty fee for downloading it to my iPOd, just put it on my bill!

Take good care now,

Michael

PS: Are you familiar with a bass player from years ago named Slam Stewart? He used to hum into his strings and play at the same time--just a wonderful sound!

I always forget to inhale when I listen to you Lyn and I passed out a few times (had a brief trip back to a moment in my third grade class, which was kind of fun) but I regained consciousness and am enjoying listening to you for the fourth time right now. Early Autumn by Keedeeg 11 days ago
This beautiful song is extremely complex and quite a challenge to any singer, but in your talented hands it sounds easy and natural. The late Jo Stafford, arguably one of the finest singers of her day had the ability to do this and so do you--in fact, I'd say this is even better than her incredible version--sorry Jo!

Listening to you, all I can do is marvel at your amazing virtuosity. This is a masterpiece.

Thanks again Lyn--take good care now!
