 Burned this for the one and a half hour drive that I make monthly to pick up my kids from their dad's. As I drove across the Kansas plains, I composed so many comments in my head, that I can't even attempt to put them all together here. Suffice to say, I was moved -- as were my children who listened to every one of the hundred of bottles fall. This collaboration, an almost crazy endevour, represents the talent and beauty of this community and all of humanity. Thank you mfwmiles for putting this together! | Wetmachine: The lyrics were inspired by a relationship with a man that severly broke my heart and temporarily wounded my soul. He was a capricorn (the goat) and I a cancer (the crab), polar opposites astrologically. He ultimately gave up our love for his father, who never approved of us. There is more to the story, but in a nut shell, that was were I was coming from when these words came out. | |
