![]() Hey Rich, Moptzar here. I love what you did with this ClassicClassic. BUT, I gotta tell you a funny story ... ready? (I'll try to keep it short but ya may wanna get yourself a cup of coffee 'cause at the end of this little diatrob I'm gonna make a fun proposal) So one of my latest projects is a live gigin' cover party band. We're always looking for croud pleasin' oldies to revive. Before our last rehearsal broke we decided on different tunes we'd like to put in our book. 'Apache (Sugar Hill Gang ver.)was one suggestion for me to consider when I opened up iC3 and there you were. It was like a sign. But now for the inspiration. In your version I heard a buried syncopated synth chord progression and I thought I should tell you to send it to CHER. Maybe she'd let you arrange it and it would be a big hit and you'd become a star and maybe mention my name when you get on Jay Leno. OK, well it was just an idea. Keep the creativity flowing. You inspire me as always. Moptzar. PS. I'm not kidding about the CHER thing. |

![]() Have you/Did you happen to hear what DJ Robbie & Chris Anderson did with the Mar~Keys "Last Night"? Nix That!!! I was thinkin' I'd love to give it that treatment but the more I listen to THIS mix I am just blown away. I wouldn't change a thing. If I were a talent agent with any sense or the least bit of hair on my ba ba b ba b b ba ahh ... cologni, I'd be draggin' ya by the ear, with a pen in hand toward a modest but fair 6mo. contract. But alas, I can only wish you luck. You deserve to be on top. Moptzar. |

| Thanx, THNX & Thank You Very Much. Gonna completely redo the vox. I think I soaked them in FX 'cause it was my first time singing and I found them a bit pitchy and rough. I find myself a little crushed for time being summer and a giggin' musician and all. Still got them support payments to make let alone still providing a roof for the ones that won't leave. There a little bio/slice of my life for ya. When I get back to mixing I will apply your wisdom. Did I mention thanx? well ... seriously, thank you for being there. I do appreciate your ears and suggestions. Moptzar | |

![]() Hey Shawn, Loved it, Loved it and I thought it was pretty good. Have you ever checked out Anthony Phillips? The Geese And The Ghost in particular. Might give you some ideas for instrumentation and atmospheric texture. Not that this piece needs it (it's wonderful nearly naked as it is) but if this is indicative of your style you might dig hearing someone of like mind if only to validate your reality. Good Job and hope to hear more, Moptzar. PS. Wish what ever woman you wrote this for a happy mothers day for me too. Mom's are sacred. | Judgement (working title) by stevec | 3 years ago |
![]() Hey stevec, cheer up, itâs not so bad being dark and heavy. Boy, that didnât sound right at all. Iâm just trying to say, I can empathize. I think of myself as a pretty happy go lucky guy however most of my stuff is pretty dark (as they say) in content. However, this tune intrigued me. Bare with me, this looks like itâs gonna get lengthy. I was wondering how you came up with the working title. Have you ever heard of the late Erik Braunn? Howâs about ... Iron Butterfly? In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida???!! Classic writers of opera, musical comedy and even movie soundtracks often employ themes to certain characters and explore variations on the melody to fit the mood of the plot. Well this tune of yours could well serve as the antithesis of the Iron Butterfly tune. What the heck is Moptzar talking about you ask? Just take a tablespoon of peanut butter, shove it in your face, swish it around a bit and say: âIn The Garden Of Eden.â There you have it. BOOKENDS! From the âGardenâ to âJudgementâ. (Iâm pretty sure the original guys used shrooms instead of peanut butter but I wouldnât encourage that) Iâd be interested in seeing any lyric you might have for this. I may be interested in the vox. PS. Just for laughs, here are the lyrics to the aforementioned 17 minute anthem. In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, honey, don't you know that I love you? In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, baby, don't you know that I'll always be true? All for now, keep the music coming. Moptzar. |

| The Reins Of NoWhere (Full Version) by moptzar | 3 years ago |
| Hey p, Here's what happened: I'm working on a pretty stacked but old G4 (bumped processor up to 1.4GHz ) and GB started getting sluggish with my entusiastic arrangement (So I got a little heavy handed) and I had to export premixed parts to iTunes and bring them back in as audio. Well to cut to the chase, when I went for my final export to iTunes for some reason it opened OS9 and the old old old iTunes. I'm told to disable it. Anyway, when I finally found the file it was in a QT Movie file. Go figure. But hey! thanx for all the advise. I'm dark tonight so maybe I'll have better focus to fixing it up. Thanx again, Moptzar. PS. What's your name so I can stop calling you 'p', unless that's OK. |

![]() garni, I Love this piece. All of the production is so very fine except for those horrible horn sounds but I guess nothing can be done with that and that's not your fault. ![]() Dear BlackLily Can't think of what this tune needs. I Loved it. I too, only use GB drum loops. Darn near every thing else is me. (You see people tend to laugh when I play drums). Anywho, back to you. You can hours just tweaking the mix but without doing so the song is still a genuine winner. It's fresh, on the edge and yet palatable. Good Luck, Moptzar. |

| Naked (dance remix) by network13 | 3 years ago |
![]() Yo network13 You know what your doin'. You're too good at this to not be a pro. Note to engineer: Tweek Master Mix Only. Any changes to this tune are now only a matter of personal taste. I deem this mix ready to be unleashed on the planet. I remember an interview with Lennon. He said: "If it were up to me, I wouldn't have released any of the Beatle records". He didn't think the records were up to snuff. He became physically ill at the release of 'HELP'. OK So I hyperbolyze. I'm just saying don't think it to death & She's good to go. Now go out into the world and send money home. Best Wishes, Moptzar. |

| Strange Encounter by BamBoo | 3 years ago |
![]() Wow Bam, Um... where to start and how interested are you in what I think of your stuff. . . Long Version: If this seems unbearably long, skip down to the â Short Version â. Well, let me start by saying that if I wasn't impressed I wouldnât have bothered to write anything at all. But I was drawn into your music by your excellent choices. Starting with the art work, then title, then your choice of instrumentation, and finally mix. All very tasteful and a mark of a true artist. I would love to take this piece as is and just add a thump on the one to funk it up but I wonât do so unless I get your permission. I feel breaks and hits. I also felt compelled to check out a few more of your tunes. Did I mention wow? I love your approach. You make techno liveable and your melodies VERY refreshing. I personally am trying to set my stuff in a band context. Check it out and let me know if I should go fly a kite. (Just metaphorically, No pun intended) In the mean while Iâm going back to check out more of your music. Sincerely, Moptzar Short Version: Loved it, Canât wait to hear more & Good Luck. Moptzar |
