I've been talking with a friend here on iComp about how to mix and thought it might be useful to post here -- esp to get feedback from other iComp community members. I've tried to condense 5 or so years of mixing and reading about mixing into a manageable Recording 101 overview. Please, post your corrections/additions/thoughts. Generally my mixing experience has been with rock, folk, and layered-acoustic-electronica. I know other genres have their own mixing techniques, and I'd love to hear what you all have to say about it.
