| 2012 is here. "Music is Life" and your music lives on, George. Nelson and his friend made this beautiful video, with drawings in the sand. I can't even describe it. It is just blessed. I feel God will inspire creations on i-comp this year, beyond imagination. We're blessed, George. We are just so blessed. Tommy did this "cube" video and funky music. I just don't know where this beautiful music comes from. It's so full of love. It has to be God. | |

| The Missouri Moon keeps shining. Herb turned 65. Fritz keeps the lawn mowed and I can't keep the purple thistle away, nor would I want to, as you taught me it's gentle fragrance. The cellar roof collapsed. The gooseberry bush gets bigger and bigger. This fall, I gathered black walnuts and pears. Made your favorite pie this Christmas, strawberry/rhubarb. Made a gooseberry pie too. Your son has a lady friend in St Jo. We still sing the Boston song. Woodpeckers made holes in the siding. I listened for the sound of the whipporwill and the coyotes and stood along the river. It's still the same. You're everywhere. Your music is with us. I made a mennorah for my Jewish friend in the nursing home. I made it from the pipecleaners you left me and birthday candles. The multi-colored afghan from Bob's wife keeps me warm. Grandpa Perry's plant is healthy and growing larger. It's Christmas. Your friends dedicated, still, another song to you. We will always remember you. I know you are walking in the sunshine and at peaceful rest, with the angels. In my dreams you are young and we ride our bicycles. My sis is coming from California in the Spring and help me fix up the place. We're moving back in the Spring. Still dream about the flower garden, log cabin, horses and pottery. Jennifer and I have visited our friend with the therapy horses. Jennifer is so beautiful and Will he's good to his mama and a fine man. He misses you and keeps your memory alive. Jerry is still raising his grandson. He calls him little George. Melvin is still in Jamaica. He says he will record again, but I don't know that he will ever return. I miss you. I know now, what you tried to say to me. | |

| Ya'll sounded so great, all together. My mama died a few days after Christmas in 2002. She played piano every nite, right up until a few days before her death. She always played the same song, though one hand was paralyzed from a stroke. She played "Whispering Hope". What a wonderful tribute. It is very beautiful. | |

| If I lived in England, Billy, I'd be trying to talk you into making a video or two, of my songs. But for now, I'll have to hang with this outdated computer, and enjoying the music from the interesting world I live in. Going back to the country soon. Maybe I'll try to make a video there. | A Song For Wendell by Trilobite2 | 8 months ago |
| Merril, Besides being an avid fisherman, was a music teacher. He sent many a youngin' on their path. His wife played the organ in church every Sunday. Geo was surrounded by musicians. Music is life. We're all in it together. And "after the rain...you can look to the sky again, and the clouds will give way to the lite of the sun" The day after Will (my son) lost his brother, and our next door neighbor's son had been killed overseas,a big double rainbow appeared over the hills in Mo. From end to end, it was the most beautiful site, I'd seen. Wendell's song is a wonderful tribute and message. Thank you |

We have been apart over 15 years. And I wish we were "closer!" geographically and close, as in the lyrics of this song. So far it has been a joy to listen to your music. I love your spontaneity, openness and honesty. You young folks, just bless my soul!! Thanks | |

| Song for Frieda (Vincent) by nlsn | 8 months ago |
| Last September, around a campfire, this song was dedicated to an artist, (Geo) who loved that little village, and when the embers from the fire, shot up toward the heavens, and I gazed into that "starry" sky, I could feel the peace of God, and I just knew, Geo was there, too, cheering us on. I know George is listening and so must we. Beauty often comes in strange packages. We are all fortunate, artists and listeners, alike; to be able to see, hear, feel, create and share such beauty. Thank you | |

| This is a love song, and love never dies. Love...music. Music..love. The love of music. Tonite, as I listen, and look at your sweet smile, and eyes, in the picture that is next to me; it seems you are singing only to me. I see you and I hear you singing, and the one thing that I know; and will always know, is your love was so true and real; and with that to carry all my years, I can look at your picture and smile through my tears. This music is so beautiful...it can make smiles, too. I know you are being comforted in the "in the arms of the angels", as you comfort me here tonite, with your song. | I keep thinking "moonglow" is my favorite, now I think this one is. I've been listening to all of your music all night long. I can't help myself. I knew you were good, but seems like you sound better than you ever did, here on icomp. George. I'm missing you, and my heart is breaking. We never got to go outside, under the stars again, or camp out all night by the firelight at the river, or go on the Worlds of Fun rollercoaster over and over and over, catch the falling leaves, watch the sunsets from Pizz ridge, go on the paddleboats at the State park, or swim out to the buoy at Lake of the Three fires, go skinny dippin' in Dosters' pond, ride our bicycles, go on picnics.....we had alot of fun. Send me down a moonbeam, George. I'm sinking. Remember the zoo and we wore our wild tropical shirts...I still have my shirt...and the blue rose, that you told me would never die. And the water color of me in the garden. It was always so precious to me, and I cherish it so, now. I'm just coming here to your favorite place to talk to you awhile. I'm listening to all your music and I'm loving it. Your friends miss you, too, and they are all so wonderful and sweet to me. I know they loved you and I wish they all could have been around when we played our music together. We sure did shine! |

| Well, I just lost a long comment I had written, because I wasn't logged in, so I guess it doesn't get saved. It's difficult for me to be terse. I hope my long comments are ok to post. I'll just say, it is unique and heart-warming how this site, welcomes all forms of expression and intertwines them together. People here listen and care and are really here for one another. Now, that's beautiful. Its all been so therapeutic, as well. It's healing. George was so blessed to have you. Tiler, there was no differentiation between the excellence of the art and music. I want to listen to the music and gaze at the paintings over and over again. This should be patented as some kind of therapy. I plan on making a video of Geo's paintings set to music, to share with all of you. I hope you don't mind me sharing your idea, T. I wish someone would help me to immortalize George's paintings. Wonder what music should accompany Geo's paintings? There is a trademark of many of his paintings; they are unfinished. A farmer without a face, a collection of instruments, the saxophone is not colored in. Even the finished looking paintings he did not sign. I asked him about that. He said "I am not finished" Folks, I can see he isn't finished at icomp. May your sweet souls soar and may your sweet soul, rest in peace, my love. Husbands, wives be sure to allow one another the solitude that is needed to find the exression and creation of our art. During our short-lived marraige, Geo would be up late at his drawing board, caressing his pretties and I disturbed that sometimes. Yet, we slept most every nite with his acoustic,in our bed, now that I loved. Because the music was so sweet and ....well I'd better not tell what happened after the music. Bless you children Let us old folks, just dream away. We've much to dream on. |

| Song for Frieda (Vincent) by nlsn | 1 year ago |
| I heard this for the first time, four hours ago. Cried and cried over its message and truth. This is my fifth attempt at writing a response. Perhaps, pure silence would be better, but George loved my rambling, so here I go. I was quite overcome, nocrywoman, crying...hmmm. Truth is, I have not had contact in person from anyone to comfort me, since George died. George does not have any family here. I think the only hug I had, was from a nurse. I know that won't be so, when I get back down home in Sept. with all of George's friends. I only wanted to tell you that, so you would know how very much comfort this song has really brought to me. I wiped George's tears from his eyes, the day before he left us. He wasn't crying so much for himself, but was concerned if I would be okay. His physical pain was too much to bear. He told me he would be okay. He was so brave. He was worried I wouldn't be okay, and I assurred him I would be. He told me to listen to the music on icomp, before he drifted in and out of consciousness. He was still saying, "listen, listen...under his breath. He must of known how much I would be blessed. This is the most beautiful arrangement of Vincent, and I am honored to play it at George's funeral. George was concerned if I would be okay; when he left. Now I am. Song is perfect. And the silent reflection that happens after, is amazing. Perhaps, this arrangement will be played at many artists' funerals in the future. Donna, Nlsn,Tom,Bill,Dave...tremendous respect has been shown to me and to George, by the dedication of Vincent. Thank-you | |
