| @MH2010... Thank you, glad you enjoyed. Actually, those sounds you are hearing are a blend of berimbau and (down-tuned) frame drum. I find that the two played together create a very haunting sound. But, now that you mention it, I need to go find a piano and try it! |

| @w1av... Thank you. Glad you enjoyed. As for the microphone question; although I normally use a a large selection of mics, for this piece I used an old battery powered Radio Shack pencil condenser. (I've had it since I was a teenager in the 80s) Normally, I use it on stage for the berimbau and for the frames quite frequently but, I rarely use it in the studio. *Because my studio space is small, I had to make several filtering adjustments and actually ran the mic through a pre-amp/filter pedal. I'm actually pleased with how clean the effect was so, I'll be doing more recordings this way. @Morris... @Mosaica... @Cinderella... Thank you all. Glad you enjoyed. |
