Hi, for all of you that have been listening to this tune. Please check http://www.wps1.org/include/shows/Sonorama.html#bailey to listen to the whole album Improvisation 1975, 43 minutes of non idiomatic improvisation by maybe the original radical guitarist Derek Bailey.

For Susan Alcorn by ochyming 4 years ago
Wow.
Susan Alcorn is a experimental guitarist. But I think she doesn´t not like to be called that.
I think this is Jazz because it reminds me of.

THANKS for the insight.

Good. If you allow me, the rhythm section ruins it.
A more direct interaction between guitar and sax with few hit hat would had been just great.
My impression though.
Carillon for John Cage by ochyming 4 years ago
I am a big of Charlemagne Palestine, and learning that Phill Niblock - http://experimentalintermedia.org/xi/ makes his powerful compositions using commissioned samples from chosen musicians. I started layering together multiples tracks, then chop/add from/to them till I get satisfied. It some times takes long, sometimes not.

Still an ignorant toward music science, when it work is just by luck.

Thank you very much.
I always think its very strange that there are people who loves My Bloody Valentine or The Pixes or Nirvanas´s Radio Friendly..., but couldn´t stand any Die Tödliche Doris or any Keith Rowe work.
I become more awere of ´not so common music` after exposure to the sounds of four frizers on a restaurant kitchen.
It was just AWESOME.

I think your opinion is as valid as mine.
Do you know, that I used to love Soundgarden.
When I did go to see them, What I loved most was the sound check up.

I do not see music as popular and umpopular. I see artists who do not want to repeat what was done, so try within or outside music what is a challenge, trying new forms of hearing. Please I do not consider myself an artist, I am just learning.

What you would call Indian´s raga, a popular or umpopular?, its do not sound as any RHCP´s tune, a Irish bagpipe tune, is popular or umpopular?
fake looop by ochyming 5 years ago
By the way, there is this Austrian guitarist Burkhard Stangl, who made a piece called guitar tunning, for for guitarists, as a string quarted.

I would ask what is music for you?
fake looop by ochyming 5 years ago
Have you ever heard of Charlemagne Palestine, or La Monte Young.
I am not intended to compare my tune to the work of these artists.

I intended to make a percursive guitar tune, with many tracks.

I would say like a gamelan piece.

Worth the effort to check.

Thankx.
Check Iannis Xenakis Peserpolis or La Légend d`Eer.
I used the free Macintosh software Fontana Mixer Free made by a German gentman in honor of John Cage composition with the same name, intended to build a tune regardeless of the interpreter own taste.
Check the software on www.macupdate.com

What I was saying is Music can dispence with skills, it should be open to everyone, people like me who have not that skills, Like outside paintings, it should be raw, thats when primal is applied.
This track is not as refined as the 2nd track on Panteras´s Far Beyound Driven, but it is as fueled by Sonic Youth school of wilderness. The reason to remember that Metal could be anything. Reason for the many siblins it has.
Metal as any art is what the artist sayd is/are.

So why not noises?
I can call Wolf Eye´s or some of Melvins tunes Metal. Even if they sayd no, its not.
If people could call slow and heavy blues´s riff Metal, why not this track?

Sorry my English.

Fine song.
Cool. The best one I herd here.

Do you own any Havergal record. You do not sound like him, though.
But I think the last seconds hurts it a bit. I love art rock, and solos a la 60´s and 70´s hurts my ears.
Hey thats just my prejudice.

Good tune.

Please check Lou Reed´s Metal Machine Music, or any Merzbow lp´s, Naked City´s Heretic album, or any from Borbetomagus.

I just cannot play melodies.

Put your guitar flat on the table. Attach screwdrivers, scissors, any metal, hit them and the strings, or bow...
inBetween the silence by ochyming 5 years ago
H.M. is been killed by gate keepers like you.
Go buy Pain Killer albums, or some by Naked City's, Metal can coexist with any genre.

The late D. Darrel one's in an interview praises Sonic Youth.
Pity Metal is full with gate keepers.
Pity...

And who sayd I am making songs?
My songs are called songs, by the way.
inBetween the silence by ochyming 5 years ago
It is also extremely far from lacking intellectual content. Have you actually heard Metal before?

I am the one´s learning English here.
I said I am not interrested in Music, just in sound.
What would you call K. Drumm´s Sheer Hellish Miasma, or Reed´s Metal Machine Music?

Today I preffer bands like Sunn O))), psi, even Lightning Bolt is better than the majority of heavy Metal bands out there.
inBetween the silence by ochyming 5 years ago
I said it should be. Otherwise its not any radical departure. It becomes full of clichés as it is now.
inBetween the silence by ochyming 5 years ago
For me Metal should be the most primal of sound/art. The absence of intellect and refined skills. But within a larger spectrum, incorporating all sounds, even silence.

Lacking intellectual ...? I am learning English, and I did Said, should not that it lack.

What would you call Kevin Drumm´s Sheer Hellish Miasma, or Reed´s Metal Machine Music?

And I said I am not inter-rested in music, just sound.
inBetween the silence by ochyming 5 years ago
Hey, I am learning to play with the guitar. I am not interested in sweet sounds.
I crave for noises. Just Sound, pure sound.
