i keep listening to this .... and ive gotta say this ... and without doubt ...hoping i dont upset anyone ....this version vocally is loads better than the original ... seriously .... its just full of feeling and more interesting than dustys version .. there..... i kept that quiet for 3 weeks now so didnt upset any dusty springfield fans i feel better now ,but it had to be said ... you have one of the best mid, bluesy, growly, sexiest vocals ive ever heard ... please do some more ..... !!!!!!!  |

| in fact all the songs apart from "what you want" and "every little thing" the guitar parts i play on an acoustic guitar and the fantastic plug-ins give the driven sound and its then e.q.d to sound like a telecaster or a p.r.s. guitar , but no-one can tell theres no actual solid guitar used in the songs ... lol, it suprises people when i tell em that the track is laid with an acoustic !!! |

| hi kc ... everthing is live but when a particular percussion is needed then that part slots into its own track and overlaid , e.g. cybal rush , tambourine , shakers etc ( hard to do when your playing , i also retune the snare or use different snares or retune or dampen the bass drum to add to the feeling of a song but toms and cymbals are the same no tweeks there. thanx for your comments kc i am glad your enjoying my work |

| thats fantastic you said that ..i always toyed with the idea of pushing the vocals up ... i suppose i was trying to take away the studio sound and go for a more live feel ... many people have said before i dropped in the vocals that it had a "Dr Feelgood" style so i did a little homework on listening to their live gigs and tried to duplicate their levels of mix within the production ... but its great you picked up on that , maybe another attempt at a quick remix is in order ?? .. cheers buddy |

| cheers guys ... i play all instruments on my featured songs just at different times ... drums take the longest time , the vocals/guitars/keys are normally laid very quickly .. in some cases ive recorded a whole song within 18 hours or so ...... my record was "dicer a mi (say them to me)" took from about 8 a.m until 8 p.m. it was on my myspace page by 10 p.m. that night ..in fact there was no lyrics until 5 p.m. it took about 45 mins to write .... my particular favourite bass groove is found on "leave me alone" , the whole song was written around that bass line .... thanx very much for your comments guys |
