|
| And Know..... by Skean | 6 years ago |
![]() Clearly in and of itself "And Know..." is a strong work but it is also a perfect piece to enhance the spinning of platters in all styles. It has so much subtle character that demands to be blended with songs that might otherwise be banal wihout it. It is a drool fest for DJs. |

![]() perfect prelude to a dance-floor aneurysm. very progressive and seemingly great for mixing into a set. extra points for NO LOOPS! |
|
| TheWindowOpen by Hunksten Proudfoot | 6 years ago |
![]() indeed this is an aural escort across a liminal site that can lead to bliss and even a transcendence where langauge and temporality are no longer. hypnotic beats, beautiful blips and seductive synthetic layers integrate into greater whole elocuted by pro production. |
|
| Out in my red robe by Vida | 6 years ago |
![]() cinematic and rich...oddly i think i hear distant vestiges of mid 80s jazz when the synclavier and synthaxe were in vogue--there is an elusive harmonic sense within the airy texture. |
|
| Collage - 01 by Brother | 6 years ago |
![]() I love the production/mix here! Many songs that utilize kids just sound gratuitous but this really feels genuine and artful. The guitar is underneath but just loud enough to make it's presence known. I could even hear this remixed/mixed into a club version. |
|
| let me feel (Orangepeel mix) by ORANGEAUDIO | 6 years ago |
![]() the guitar is so hip i would have accentuated it a bit more--ever so slight more twang--like towards the end. the d n b style does not detract from the rock at all--excellent balance. your musical voice is as confident as ever. ps--if you ever want some additional guitar collab don't hesitate to ask. take a bow tommy! |

|
| LAUDANUM by TheRedRoom | 6 years ago |
![]() unsettling atmosphere in liminality--it seems as if it could veer into the abyss or diverge into joyousness. this precariousness sonic state is artfully achieved without loops or beats! |
|
| It Ain't Fair 45 RPM by Joanna | 6 years ago |
![]() sublime vocal harmonies used sparingly to a divine effect. lead vocals have plenty of feel--enough to make the lyrical content understood without even knowing what they are. when the aging sonic texture works it's effective but at times the digital presence undermines itself. for example, the beginning of the guitar solo sounds as if there are traces of chorus. no matter though--i knew a band that ran their tape through water to sound more as if the recording was old! |

|
| 050705-180905_101005 by Brother | 6 years ago |
![]() Once again, gorgeous guitar tones that sculpt an envoironment of sound rather than a typical song. The chorus on the bass is a little heavy. A purer tone might complement the guitar better. |
|
| Dirty Harry Callahan by Brother | 6 years ago |
![]() This is too progressive to be considered Blues. While elements of Blues are present, the sleepy atmosphere and somewhat psychedelic tonalities push the enevelop of tradition to create a style that is both organic and ambient. The groove is very downtempo and slyly seductive. |
|
| message for you (singer wanted) by ORANGEAUDIO | 6 years ago |
![]() You have been exploring and mapping a more ethereal mode lately. And in a way that reveals the dyads and nuances of the psychic side of the spectrum. While "impression of ORANGE" felt anxious and tense, "message for you" is sedate and hopeful. Choose the vocals carefully--although I'm sure I'm just stating the obvious. |
|
| Little Green Bubbles by JoyPoppa | 6 years ago |
![]() off the chain breakbeat! you're emerging as a beat specialist. adding layers to this would be too much BUT using as a transition or sliding into another track might work. |
|
| The Foobie Adventure by JoyPoppa | 6 years ago |
![]() i'm feeling the fuzzy flow as the hazy sonic halo emits a post-wintery glow. this song is deceptive--it seems low key but i sense a cauldron of energy ready to boil over. |
|
| impression of an ORANGE by ORANGEAUDIO | 6 years ago |
![]() i need to listen to this extensively before i comment on it's hypnotic energy. i will not beleaguer over this any longer so to put it simply, this song evokes a sensation that eludes the desciptive capabilities of language. |

| FUNKIER by wal4u | 6 years ago |
![]() Are you sure you can't hear me? Those relentless vocals where you seem to never come up for air are mind-boggling. And your son articulates his single notes with style and a rareified confidence. |
|
| 041204 by Brother | 6 years ago |
![]() The lead guitar is mesmerizing as it meanders over the funky groove. I can hear some Fripp but even more Greg Ghin of Black Flag. I love the rythm but the chorus might be a little thick. Myself--I dig the noises! |

|
| Priscus Carmen (Ancient Poem) by Inveigh | 6 years ago |
![]() straight up--i dig the the second half more than the first. this may be do to a usually negative bias towards pan flute sounding instruments. HOWEVER, the tweaked out tones prominent in the second part of the song are a superb melange of analog-ish opium and mecahnized manna. keep em comin'! |

| IS BIG BEAT DEAD? by ORANGEAUDIO | 6 years ago |
![]() I can't believe I just messaged you and THEN listened to this! I've been telling one of my cohorts--JoyPoppa--that there needs to be more elements of Big Beat in much of the club music currently being released. Or, at the very least, remixes leaning towards a Big Beat style. |

| Jazz Con-fusion by pete_diver | 6 years ago |
| Many thanks for the positive feedback! I basically spent 10 hours straight on the whole thing from start to finish. Essentially I took three indivdual songs and mixed them together as if I were a club DJ. I'm not sure if it ended up that way but all that really matters here is fgetting the attention of the audience--whether it numbers 1 or 1000! peter |

| Sasquatch by jukeboxhero | 6 years ago |
![]() This is a a very strong piece. However, I think the flute is the least compelling track and does not fit the overall tambre. "Sasquatch" is instantly addictive and I can not help listening to it repeatedly. |
