Biography
Hello and welcome to my world of music. My name is Phillip Lackey(aka Philydred/thephillackeyprojeckt). Originally from Cincinnati,Ohio.This is where I gained my skills,and talents. Playing Bass Guitar/keyboards/Drum Machine Programming/and Vocals). Having lived there for most of my life(until moving to be in N.C). I pretty much had the chance to see a whole lot of talent,network,be seen and heard. One break for me,was meeting one of Cincinnati,Ohio best bands "The Chozen". and being welcomed as if I were a part of the family. The leader/founder taught me not only bass,but some of the business aspects.) they also backed me up on some performances. Also Meeting Mark Askew,gave me time to improve upon my skills(and attempts to sing).Working with Phil Bullen,was a pleasure,for he was on the money with all his technical knowledge/help/studio-set-up.Thru the years,I have played Reggae,Funk,Old School,R & B,Jazz,and Gospel. I am moving forth with Neu-Jazz.Slowly I have taken all of your suggestions to heart,including better production. I ca still take you back to the days when all you had was 1 microphone and a tape recorder,and got a great recording
