Hello, My name is Tom and I am a 50 plus musician/sound engineer. I have been playing music since 4th grade(cello and trombone) and singing all my life. In high school I discovered rock music and fell in love with jazz. I played sousaphone in the marching band so I could play jazz bass in the stage band. I was kinda punk/new wave in the late seventies and early eighties. I was in a seminal prog rock band back then also. I have almost always had a project studio of some kind or another, starting with a 4-track casette, then a 2" reel-to-reel, and now digital.
I am currently in a tribal/jazz/fusion band called Doctor, and an ambient duo called Dirty Chaps. I live in California and work as an electrician. I just can't stop playing music.
