Mi nuevo blog en espanol. Porque? Por que estudio espanol ahora, pero no tengo occasion por lo usar. Y no ya estoy seguro de como escribir los signos de interrogacion y los acentos... lo siento! Si (no si, cuando) equivocarso en mi espanol, lo puede desconocer o puede ayudarme. No importa. Quisiera aprender, pero en su mayor parte, quiero communicar. Entonces, "nacido entre pisos..."

HaywireRobot was asking me about any other production tips I might have to follow on from "killing your fans" (yesterday's blog entry). Incidentally I always use the fan killer for my lead vocals but I am pleased to report that Haywire has managed to get himself a nice guitar sound out of it. Anyway this is what I do for backing vocals - listen to "Kentucky Fried Blues" from my Question All Authority album for an example...

How to kill your fans January 3, 2006
A couple of people have asked me about how I manage to get a pretty clear sound on my vocals using just the built in mic on my eMac. It took a fair bit of experimentation over the last few months but I'm pretty happy with what I've got now. Incidentally I've tried this on my mum's iMac G5 and it doesn't seem to work nearly as well - she only has GB1 though and that may make a difference as the input level is harder to set. Anyway...
