Biography
Whats up? I love Dream Theater and live in my moms basement! No seriously I don't. I'm a 28 year old male that really appreciates honest, creative, emotion provoking music. The style doesn't matter, its either there or it isn't. Big horns to anyone putt'n music on this site.
I'm into extreme music. I guess thats the right word to use. Pretty much any thing that makes me want to move, jump up and just do it. Thats my main but definately not only musical interest.
Fast forward about a year....
I took about a year or so off of writing music and basically playing guitar altogether. Don't ask me why. I just wasn't feeling it. However lately the flame has reignited and is quickly turning into a 5 alarm wild fire. I usually write metal but lately I've been writing more indy, alternative type of progressive brit pop tunes. I've just decided to stop trying to write a certain type of song and just let the song write it's self.
I have a Jackson D-10 pro wich is tuned to standard E and an ESP M202BB with active EMG pick-ups wich I currently have tuned to drop A#, although most of my metal tracks are tuned to drop C or C# on the ESP. I also have a Peavey bass that I bought used for $17..... It was owned by a kid in a punk band and looks (and plays) like he used it as a pogo stick. If my bass sounds weak, well, you get what you pay for.
All my guitars are ran straight into my Mac w/ an M audio 1/4 inch adapter, no pre-amp. All the guitar tones you hear I produce with my guitar and the effects in Garageband. So when ppl complain about GB's guitar tones I just shake my head. Either your guitar is junk or you don't know how to dial in the right tone.
I've never had any formal recording training. When it comes to gear and things of that nature I'm pretty much clueless. I just listen to records that I think are produced well and try to emulate thatwith my home recordings. I basicaly just tweak it until it sound good. A good ear will work wonders.
I hope you enjoy the music I post and please drop me comment and let me know what you think.
