Very cool. Draws my attention in better than some other Electronica out there. Very nice.

@pharmakeus - Thanks so much! I have been very unnerved recently. It is so nice to be able to put our feelings into music. All the tracks except for the talking part is all bass guitar. Something about low tones really opens up my creativity vein.

@woofer3 - Thanks for that! That beefheart is pretty crazy. I like the chaos. I'd never heard of him before.

@Vixen - NO meds and voices, that's a scary combo! Thanks for the listen!

Fantastic intro, love the Tool-esc drums. Nice vocals, the distorted guitar sounds out to the left or something, I like it but it needs to be pulled forward in the mix with a compressor or some reverb, or something.

Amazing work. Orchestrated parts like this seem so difficult for my mind to grasp how you get all the different parts to play nice with each other, an easy task for you! Sounds great!

She's Like The Wind (cover) by reddragon 1 year ago
@mbehar Thanks Mori! Good to see you!
@telecaster29 Thanks for the constructive criticism! I know exactly what you mean about the acoustic/electric sound. To make it worse I'm using a cheap older Ovation. My problem is the size of my recording room and the ambient noise that is in it. It rarely feels like the sound is right when I mic a guitar, too flat or something.
She's Like The Wind (cover) by reddragon 1 year ago
@BossHook Thanks Boss, that's exactly what I was going for with the electric, a little Zack Wylde coming out of me.

Very cool indeed. Love the drums dropping to half tempo before the bridge. Love the the guitar, nice layers. My only critique would be that the bass seems louder than everything else during the first tempo change. The second is perfect as is the third with the solo. The solo guitar could be louder, it sounds great. If only I sounded like Dickinson as 8Month suggested I'd offer to scream a little.

Very cool, a good deviation from some of your previous work. The Bass sounds slightly out of the mix, a little loud at times or maybe the other tracks have some affect applied and it doesn't? Still ber nice, good builds.

Wow, Petra's voice makes it very creepy and somber. Great job, deep sounds!
Good Morning (To Love) by bluejawa 3 years ago
Cool affects on the keys. I like the spacial quality the song has. The only critique I can offer is on phrasing. There is a stop/start break every 16 beats that sorta breaks up the continutiy of the song. Everything stops and then starts again. Although the piano has a U2 or Moby feel and they use those kinds of breaks very well, so maybe its a good thing?

I Just Can't Win by bluejawa 3 years ago

Love the half step up on that second note of the bass line. Good timing. Good use of the hi hat effect addition. Once the 3rd synth comes in it all becomes a little clouded. Maybe kill everything dramatically for a measure but keep that deep bass line, the lower backing synth and add the soaring synth. Very good use of melodies a good departure from some of your previous work. The next thing it needs is a bridge to take it to the next level before the fade out. Add another 2 minutes or so. I have a huge problem writing bridges as well. An old standard trick is to change the key or go up a 3rd, 5th or 7th.
