The band grew from great jam sessions with Thomas P (Red Temple Spirit), Dave E (recently, Country Cookin) and Randal (rinny399, The Bare Soul Band). Dave suggested we do some songs Randal had never played and we found them entertaining and within the talent of the band. Well ... that got us started about a year ago. As we went to open mics with the full team...positive feedback led to more serious endeavors.
Dave is a veteran of several bands and has toured occasionally as time permits. The project is a labor of love for Dave and he got us started down this road, while we learned that it's about songs for audiences... not playing complex tunes for other musicians (although we can't refrain from time to time).
Jeff V. is the lead vocalist and a rhythm guitarist. His sound is reminiscent of the sounds of good old rock and roll mixed with soul, R&B. Jeff is a big fan of the Rolling Stones and Otis Redding...thats says it. Jeff has helped raise the bar on vocals for this Oregon band.
Randal plays guitars for the band. His last year with The Bare Soul Band taught him a lot about how each member of a five piece band has to integrate vocals and instrumentation. When done well it is magical, nothing better than a live band with a large sound and harmony vocals. Pure FUN!
Welcome Kurt on Drums! Kurt’s musical path has been varied like so many. Drumming throughout Jr. High, High School and rocking into College led to many parades, orchestras and of course, rock performances. Regrettably, to finance a trip during college to Hawaii he sold his beloved Slingerland pearl drum kit and has missed it ever since.
