| Crazy (Gnarls Barkley cover) by PinkFreud | 3 years ago |
| i too was thinking of covering this one as well, but you've put those thoughts to rest with this. wow man - hats off | |
| Exit Music (For a Film) - Radiohead Cover by PinkFreud | 3 years ago |
| ok so radiohead is my favorite band, and i cringe at the thought of ANYone covering them - especially if the cover is a literal one. BUT you guys did a brilliant job and I'm not in the least bit disappointed. This is a real gem, and you guys did more than just do it justice. awesome, thanks. |

| Comfortably Numb (Pink Floyd cover) by PinkFreud | 3 years ago |
| awesome cover. really cool to hear this acoustically. you sound a lot like waters on this. great job | |
| I'm Not Really Here (Invisible Man) by rsorensen | 3 years ago |
| Thanks. Radiohead's my favorite band right now so that makes sense. In fact, I wrote and recorded this after I saw Thom and Jonny perform '15 Step' on the Grammys with the USC Trojans marching band. Very inspirational - check it out. | |

| Chronicles of a Dysphoric Translator (Pt. IV-VI) by rsorensen | 3 years ago |
| Justin-thanks so much for your kind words. I always really value and appreciate your thorough reviews and constructive input. I agree the transition could be smoother there - the concept is that he's being snapped awake to reality after the dreamy atmosphere of Part IV, but maybe it's a little TOO harsh. I'll reconsider that transition - thanks for the input. MIR - love both those bands so it's cool that you're reminded of them in my vocals at the end. Glad you dig this so much. I've been meaning to check out your stuff, but haven't yet had a chance. Looking forward to hearing your music. age- thanks for checking this out. glad you like this second half too. I like the heaviness of the middle as well Love all your stuff. I think we share a lot of influences so I always look forward to and enjoy your posts too.Shadow- thanks - you're a big inspiration to me. You're one of the few that can not only deliver quantity but quality as well. Heightened/Tribix - Don't hock nothing! You guys are also both big inspirations to me. Joe, your MARS ONE series got me rolling on this, for real. Barretok-You have a real authentic confidence and wisdom to your music that most of us can only TRY to achieve. Thanks for listening to my stuff. Petra- again, thanks for your help with this. You're my favorite artist here at icomps. Can't wait to work with you again. Feenix- another one of those artists of quantity AND quality, and a helluva guy to boot. Thanks for your support. dirigent- your ear and talent for composition amazes me. Thanks for always stopping by to offer your opinions. Thanks everybody ! |

| Chronicles of a Dysphoric Translator (Pt. I-III) by rsorensen | 3 years ago |
| Thanks - I don't mind the comparisons at all. It wasn't intentional but it seems like this whole thing (as well as the next 3 parts) is influenced by every band or artist I've ever been really into - by the bands you mentioned and a few more. Funny how that works. | |

| joe. you do realize i'm going to have to get a bigger hard drive if you keep this up, right? oh well it's worth it. OUTSTANDING! Love the feeling of wonder this one provokes. Oh and by the way, on my 'Heightened' playlist, your Blade Runner piece played immediately after this one and it hooked up amazingly. Try it! Alright then will this be all for the Mars One series or can we expect more? Perhaps a couple of 'long journey home' pieces (hint hint)? Maybe they've inadvertently brought something back with them.... ooooooooooooohh... |
|

| downloaded before listening cuz i knew it'd be killer. wasn't disappointed when I did. that bed of strobing synths you establish at the beginning totally sucks you in for what lies ahead. I'm absolutely LOVING this Mars series, Joe. Can't wait for the next one. | |

| thanks everybody for checking this out - and wow! thanks a lot age - really cool of you to say. This song is probably my most personal one lyrically so it's cool to hear people can relate. To answer your question, yeah this is probably a slightly better mastered version. I can never keep track of how many little tweaks we do after a song is supposedly 'in the can' haha. Also, I should note that my recording partner/bandmate/producer Scott wrote and performed the music for this one, and I the vocals. Let me tell you he is one ubertalented songwriter and musician! I Gotta get him to sign up here! |

| Inside Your Skin by rsorensen | 4 years ago |
| Thanks! Yeah Misery's one of my favorite Metallica songs, but the ripoff was totally unintentional. I thought it was so clever and original at the time, too... then I realized where I'd heard it before. You have a good sense of structure because it was a tough call putting this one so early, but when you hear the one before it (track 2 goes up tomorrow) you'll hear why it makes sense sonically and thematically. Thanks for the comments! |

| Goodbye by rsorensen | 4 years ago |
| thanks pharmakeus. it's the bass that has the phasing on it. it's a really cool preset in my podXT I discovered that's meant for guitar. it's a fine line though to not let it overpower the song and be too distracting, but I think we found a good place in the mix for it. thanks for commenting. | |
| Goodbye by rsorensen | 4 years ago |
