very interesting, mind bending, and eye opening. Great tonal quality and resonance if those r the right wordys. i do feel an anthem in the piece, but i like the simplicity, as anthems are usually overdone. bring us more!

what sound what sound what sound. warm and bright and beyond belief that i did stumble here on music immersion day.....

Ignoramus, this is really beautiful. I can sing to this, but I don't have a mic set up good enough to do this quality justice. I will do it anyway, in the shower with my itune.

What guitar is this? You sound incredible and I will be listening in often.

ah, somehow my message got lost! forgot to tell you this one is my favorite (besides your dad one in his honor). I can really feel the white line rolling under your VW bus as you pave the blacktop. wHERE'S THE DOCUMENTARY FILM ABOUT YOUR TRIP??? You know, the one with the sprinkled meaningless events (bugs on windshield, weird lady at 7-11 going to the grand canyon) and then the "godlike" beauty of sedona and this gorgeous place called "alive" and "driving accross the country". It's kind of a coming of age isn't it? for a nomad that is. You have to journey. And then you return to your roots....was next my man?

a very tom petty-ish sound and there ain't nothin wrong with that! very nice atmosphere, and again, warmth of those guitars, really works. On my itunes cause i'm on my own journey soon.

why am i hearing Joy Division in this? Lyrics and bass/guitar? This cracks me up. Reminds me of these crusty punkrock roomates I had in SF who used to invite me to their studio in the "tenderloin" (a delightful part of town)... where the bass amp was as big as a house and they only improvised...and earplugs were a SINful insult. One of them would bang around on old acetylene tanks (empty, hollow) like industrial bells...you sound sooooooo much better! But I feel like i'm in that room again drinking cheap 40 ouncers...just 17 years old, blowing my ears out! I hear an influence though....early 80's is it sonic youth? Maybe X? Or something more punk rock. Who's in there? Few too many is who is in there (brew-ha-has). Great work. God, you're really making me want to hear someone! Wish my brain worked. Well...there. You're downloaded. Now I get to hear YOU. p.s. I married the one who banged around on the acetylene tanks. go figure. we didn't make it, but funny memories. FABULOUS TUNE! THANKS!!!!

This is a very warm song. reminding me of fleetwood mac stuff, but your lyrics are working great in place of Stevie's!!!! She wouldn't be able to sing about your pops so well anyway!

I think this is my favorite of your work so far GR3, can't decide, but in this one I can feel the revelation that came about. I've really gotten immursed today and have heard alot of rich works. The nice warm sound in this one and concept is keeping me here.....Third listen ghostie, I didn't know you are from Woodstock! You lucky human ...er ghosty one.

On a serious note, thank you for sharing your dad with us. This speaks to me

Sunday morning blues by onemanblues 4 years ago
Amazing playing of a great blues tune. Alot of soul translation in those keys. Would looove to hear some singing or a harmonica playing with your work, but the piece is missing absolutely nothing. Tempo feels juuuuust....riiiighhhhhhhhht! Would almost be a shame to lose the experience and tangibility of your hands on those keys w/ any other instruments interfearing. Great work oneman! Wish I could do that, but gratitude that you can do it so very very well. I can feel it fo' sho'. Let me know if you add anything to it, or new works if you have the time...

Southbound Train by gongoputch 4 years ago
Great take on a classic song title. Mandolin? Or banjo? (sorry my ears should probably know). Great licks on this one again. Nice rollin' down the tracks feeling. You make very good stuff gongoputch. You must live a nice life, or have a nice outlook on it. Thanks for the beautiful guitars and translation of deep south rollin'. Way different than the Muddy Waters cover I was expecting! But a feeling I can really relate to in my imagination. Much admiration! Good work on all guitars. I am ridin' that train with my elbow on the window, head bobbin' to some guys playin' live tunes and watching the scenery passing by....You communicate very well with your music. Fiddles would go nicely w/ your work...but don't let me intrude on some beautiful stuff! Just lots of gratitude!

Nice warm guitars, a teensy cloudy on the acoustics (may be my cheapo headphones), but a nice clear fender sound. Would love to roll down an interstate with this tune playing. Feels alive and mellow, just like the country. Back porch sittin' and toe tappin' would work too. Summer afternoon, dogs running in the fields...cowboys coming home. Makes me feel aligned in me soul, just like a good old Neil Young tune...with a little country lickin' goin' on. Thanks very much! Fits my day perfectly. Very nice work to stumble upon gongoputch! Nice background percussion....great tune all around. Good warm feel. Third listen, and I do feel a nice swell of waves coming on....paddling out for a good day of mellow clean surf...keep it country! Don't usually give ratings, but this is a five star in my book!

Can I download this one? It's not working for some reason, is it the "no derivatives?" Just wanna hear it on my itunes, goes well with a guy from Hawaii named John Cruz. Check him out, nice feel, you might appreciate. Tune "The Song Remains" is my favorite if you're interested in giving him a taste. A superb musician and singer.

Thanks guys, for all. Song is kinda mish mash slam blam bang of techno, house beat, and some industrial feel with a little fun at the end...well banging garbage can lids is a good start anyway!!! Mountain Flower of Peru by Filmscorz 4 years ago
Oh Peru in the early spring. Morning chill gently broken by the warmth of the sun's drifting rays through the shallow atmosphere,... with tiny desert flowers slowly opening on the cool mountainsides...precious blooms at high altitude. Lofty, sparse clouds and mountain peaks of ceremony. I have never been but now I have flown through those mountains in a dream trance... can smell the cool air, reminds me of my own childhood home at 9000 ft. The tiny flowers were such a luxury...how did they survive the cold winters? Such a gift. (Your song and 'dem teeny little bells of flowers)

Thank you for the gift! An incredible musician you are. Excited to see your film work(s). I have budding (but longstanding) desires for these mediums as well. Mahalo again for the beautiful and diverse work you do.
Unstoppable by RPG 4 years ago
Funk voice too. 80's all the way. Lovin' it. Had to take a second listen. Sounds so good on my kick booty system (gratitude for that!). Reminds me of spinning my record collection as a teenager in about 1988 (ooops dated meself). We are the Robots (kraftwerk) and trying to think of the funk reference, it'll come...it's the RB voice. Might have to download this one. Glad to find your work. Maybe when you have time you'll tell me what equip. you use so I can get up to par! Gonna go break out that Kraftwerk...kudos!
Unstoppable by RPG 4 years ago
Dark Funk. A whole new genre!

Nice vibe. Reminds me of Kraftwerk's stuff. Cruisin' the autobaun with the time slowed down...or watching the scenery pass on a motorway, with rain trickling down the passenger windshield...a nice journey with the synths and beat...deeper than those afore mentioned German guys and much funkier... a great groove to your synths. Also reminds me a little of high-tech machinery doing it's business in time...a high tech shop with the tidy little (but groovy smart) workers...smooth as butter in all their motions...

Will be listening in lots. Yep, definitely funky because it makes my head dance to the beat and the rythmic groove of the synths.

Good work RB!
BBF:09 Summertime by ponkey 4 years ago
was just splicing up the janis joplin version, and this is a TOUGH song to choose a tempo for when remixing. Your work is so well done, it works great here. vocals especially. The Ella version is my favorite. I like this one though, sun shining and driving on the motorway, moving along, but heart hurting. It's in the mild angst of the voice. Hard to let go of the original, but I do like yours.

Ah, yes, this is the one I first heard when lollying around a few nights ago. I love it. No wonder you responded to my better hearts song! We should blend elements of the two. I have low skills though (far as mixing more goes, etc.), but it's a thought. This work really shows your full potential. You are definitly a poe. Lots of emotive in your work. Let it flow. I see budding composer...
Bringers of War by edgarallenpoe 4 years ago
Yeah, I hear a sultry singer in there and favor the start..definitly a dark warrior song...You have alot of ideas, I can tell, try working out the transitions from one sound to the next. Or don't ...don't let advice mess you up, but a thought...Or build upon your guitar riffs w/ deep base and a beat. I can see there is great work coming on...
Spacestation Nova by edgarallenpoe 4 years ago
