really tight predelay on the drum reverb, it fattens the sound nicely. cool panning as well. this is kind of demented-happy-rude. I dig it! Nice, weirdly chill track. Good for railin' something on a sunday morning smiley

But seriously, babymakin' music right here... Matter o' fact, I'm gonna go make a baby right now!

Really clean everything, as usual, fc. you don't need me to tell you how good your production is hehe. it ends quite suddenly though...
Ex Astra Cuniculus - 2 - Missing the Sound by Surak 19 days ago
screaming solo, man. really tight, as always! the vocals definitely have character, I caught a couple of off pitches, but meh. Solidly done, overall man. Nice cymbal splashin', tight finish.
There And Back (UF) by becwil 20 days ago
love the gentle bass crunches here and there, low in the mix. brilliant filter work, nice use of tonal resonance, bloody perfect reverbs.

great elements building up into a steady, mantric beat. cool use of compressions. really pretty towards the end, love that epic feel. wow, creepy/divine voice!

I wanted it to keep going when it ended! please make more!

on the second listen here, I would say, first and foremost, bravo on the sampling. it has some brilliant sounds, great panning, all around solid mix. Very boards of canada style, but with you written all over it. It's a brilliant piece in the more atmospheric, IDM-style dubstep, of which, I have to admit, I'm not a fan. For me, dubstep has to have some really brutal, rude and twisted bass, and a snare that's a little more relentless than your (beautifully reverbed) *chk* sound. But that says nothing about the quality of your work, that's just my personal flavour.

great synth sounds, love the voice work and the classy scratchpan style of whirling it around. like slow mo cotton candy for the sick at heart.

tight drums, as always, nice deep sub sounds, but I feel I lacked a little in the lower midrange region. Some grimy synth touches her and there could have really brought this to the next level for me, but again, that might just be my taste. solid work, man, I admire your style.
Drop 40 by sAro 2 months ago
cool how it dips into darkness, love the halftime bit too. some of the bass is a little fuzzy, but it still sounds good, whether or not it's on purpose. could be a compression issue...

great feel on this, really midnight blue to me

lovin' them breaks. tight ending, really cool pitch work. great use of loops!
S - Hold Your Love by o0o 2 months ago
nice dull kick, mate! very cool synth work, really dark. the voice is perfect! it's hard to get this kind of major-key work to sound like this. your drums are pitched perfectly for the job! many neglect the necessity for drums being at the right pitch... again, lots of cool synth work coming through. good reverbs, but they do make it seem a little stuffy and overcompressed in some places...
its now or never Stutter Mix by Lapskin 2 months ago
tight filtering! love the chopped up guitar riffs. nice trashy drums, love the violent-happy feel. almost primus-esque... especially when the bass loop comes in. great things done with the tempo too, very organic.

The End of Sickness and Death by Justin_Case 3 months ago
man, this is definitely ground-breaking. to be honest, I don't really know what to say about it. the voices threw me off guard right off the bad, and I just started laughing and couldn't stop. sorry if this song means something very serious to you, but I got a mad humour injection from it. I think humour is a beautiful thing too though...

love them dirty synth touches here and there man. nice delays as well.
Sex on the Beach by Mamalena 3 months ago
sounds like you've got some cool timestretch happening on those loops. nice use of the pitch bend there. a really 2-step, uk garage feel in the rhythm, backed up by a really chill melodic aux element in the synths. nicely understated, gently phased fuzz work. it all fits together in a very syncopated way. good use of loops!

Kiss My Vapour by AshleyBeanHead 3 months ago
love that over-compressed, crisp'n'heavy feeling on the drums, nicely grimy and slippery, like rubbing two wet, angry ducks together. sweet one-bar riff changeovers, gives it a delightful step-to-the-left kind of feeling. love the arhythmic slow breakdown hehe. sweet pick'n'grind bass, everything just comes together so funkishly!

I was thinking, bean, that you should allow others to adopt your listening/commenting MO. It could be your patented "Bean Routine"...

man, I like it as it stands: in solitude, strong and somehow forgotten. it paints a picture quite well with only its own colour. you don't need to add more to the palette.
green valley by shubhamagarwal 3 months ago
overdrive the kick drum a bit, and turn your snare up. maybe play with your panning a little more, and this could sound really clean. a trick I like to use is to crank everything over 17,000 Hz. It's beyond human hearing, but it opens up the overtones and makes everything sound more spacious.

WHIPPING BOY by julianrob77 5 months ago
I personally don't care if the guitar overpowers the vocal, they're both textures in my mind, and the way they work together is great! solid playing by all of you, really great job! I think the production is lacking a bit of spaciousness in the reverb though, but that's just an opinion.
Natural by Trilobite2 5 months ago
Very solid vox indeed! Hehehe, hobbit death metal about sums it up, I think lol. I can't describe it any better than that. could definitely use some double kicks, as frozen suggests, and some beefier drums in general, but I gotta say, the voice is great! you should be singing in a grindcore band!

The organ would be a little sharp on the high notes in a club setting at full blast, but otherwise this production is beyond perfect. Nice cruisin' music, methinks! It's got that mild, syncopated funk flow that defines house music for me. Well done!

definitely love the solo towards the end, great phasing!

"Master fader can come up a few notches, imo."

If it's to be released as a single, yes. but on an album, as a nice little interlude, I certainly wouldn't feel the need to crank it any louder than it is. very gentle work, great use of pentatonics/wide intervals. gives it a really cool sci-fi/oriental edge. this is two master kung fu cyborgs, deep in meditation on a vast plain of wind and sky and water, facing eachother in a purposeful calm, totally at peace, about to launch into mortal combat.
CHaoS MaGicK by Justin_Case 6 months ago
very fun work indeed! puts me in mind of a child from the fourth dimension, smearing his hands with paint and spices and playing with a shiny colouring book entitled "gravity". great summation of events as well! the picture becomes clear, and the hovering gore is explained away with the wisdom of the gong. thank you very much for this tribute, Justin.
