Biography
Well... lemme see here. What to say about slimsummers! I'm a Colorado native, now residing in North Hollywood, CA after a 30+ year stay in the San Francisco Bay Area and close to 8 years in Long Beach.
I'm a renaissance man at heart, since I'm an active artist, actor, photographer, sometime philosopher, former filmmaker, and now musician again. Although my training and degree is in fine art, I make a living as a scenic carpenter at many community and regional theaters, schools, and universities!
My musical activity has most recently been as a performer onstage instead of backstage... but I was experimenting and tinkering around with music the first few years out of high school, with a couple of friends. We were very much influenced by the likes of Tangerine Dream, Vangelis, Jean Michel Jarre, Kraftwerk, Klaus Schultze, Roedelius, Camel, Pink Floyd, Ultravox, and the early techno synth-pop sound. We were equipped with two Sequential Circuits Pro-One keyboards, and Roland's Juno 60 synth., Rhythm Composer, Dr. Rhythm, and two Roland TB303 and TR606 Bass and Drum machines... man, I'd love to have some of that gear today!
It's refreshing to get back to my musical roots again, albeit in an entirely new wave of technology! I hope to come up with some interesting, entertaining and worthwhile compositions, and look forward to your comments here on IC for some time to come!
Cheers!
