Lovely track David, saw the vid on FB earlier this week....kind of reminds me a bit of Neil Hannon. Great additions from Cat and Bryn and the orchestration is fab. Very poppy and seasonal

Very nIce tune...I like the slightly Krautrock vibe you have going on here, a bit Neu. I will join in the annoying crowd who say this would sound cool with some vocals on it too. But it does work nicely as a chilled out instrumental too

Commence to Landing by stevel 3 years ago
Thanks for your comments! Glad you enjoyed it. The lead guitar is played on my US Stratocaster (about 15 years old now), the rhythm is a mixture of the strat and my Hutchins guitar (which is a kind of cheap surf guitar).
The amps are all simulation from Logic - there are quite an array of amp sounds on Logic studio so its fun to experiment with them!

Cheers

Thanks! Yes used the stratocaster on this...I seemed to have lost all my plectrums so had to resort to using a one penny coin to play the second solo.

Hutchins by stevel 4 years ago
Cheers Zallaz
Well its a Hutchins guitar... but I am not sure what model as I cannot locate it as a current guitar they do, the closest one is the 'Beachcomber'. It kind of looks like a souped up telecaster but has a warmer humbucker kinda sound. I wonder if it is a discontinued guitar or a prototype...plays really nicely though and has that vintage look and sound. not bad for £180!
